Hello, I am a dedicated smoker. Well, I don’t smoke much; the maximum is ten cigarettes a day. But I know that I have to stop with this bad habit and I tried, but it simply was not that easy. This means that I will have to take some meds for a help, something like Zyban. How does that drug prevent you from smoking?

Generally, Zyban is an anti depressant. Helping people that want to quit smoking is a strong side effect of this medication. The actual mechanism is still not discovered, although the doctors are guessing it is related to noradrenergic receptors. Well, I assume that the mechanism itself is not that important, as long as it brings the results.
