What can you tell me about it? Why is it so important and why they say that it is difficult to learn? Floating on the water and my version of crawl is all I managed to learn so far.

This kick is a relatively simple movement. It is considered a survival stroke. Although depicted as one of the most complex swimming motions, it is not that complicated. It is different from the other kicks. Since different muscle groups are involved beginners have hard time to master these differences. Breaststroke is one of the four competitive strokes. The leg kick in breaststroke is the most difficult of all kicks for swimmers to learn. Besides breathing, the most important thing is the correct timing of the arms and legs. Good streamlining skills when performing the breaststroke are essential for swimmers to develop. Behind these fancy and professional terms there is nice and elegant move that is not as difficult to learn as you may think.
