I have started exercising last month and I admit that I feel really tired and exhausted but I did manage to lose some weight and shape my body a bit so I don't intend to stop now. I have heard that progressive resistance program is excellent for bulk gaining and I would like to know how many days in the week I need to perform this type of training.

It all depends on what you want to achieve. But do have in mind that the muscles and the rest of the body need at least 24 hours for a complete recovery, with a regular and normal sleep pattern. So, let's say that three to four times in a week is an optimum.
