It is "not" normal to go to the bathroom 8 times a day. There are 24 hrs in a day, out of those 24 hrs, you sleep 8, maybe 10 if you are lucky, so that leaves at least 14 hrs awake. So that would mean if you went at least 8 times a day you would be approximately every 2hrs. Makes for a rather hectic day! Again "not" normal, unless you have "overactive bladder! You need to see your Urologist " bladder & kidney specialist". You have a sign of "overactive bladder". However Diabetes does not always cause a constant need to urinate. Diabetes causes us to be thirsty, which in turn makes us want to drink, so naturally "if" you exceed the over the limit amount of intake, which you should "NOT" then "yes" you will have a constant "urge" to urinate. I can "not" imagine your Dr. "not" telling you that you should "watch" your "fluid" intake. However "if" you have a kidney specialist "and" being a diabetic you should have one, because diabetes causes kidney failure. I know! I went into kidney failure in 2005 while asleep & spent 3 days in a Coma "not" expected to live, but by the grace of God I am here today! "If" it had "not" been for the fact that I was being cared for at that time by my spouse I may "not" have lived. He came into help me get washed, dressed & into my wheelchair for the day but he couldn't get me awake. Diabetes is "not" a disease you want to play with, I have seen it eat a hole as big as 2 softballs in a rear-end when I first started out working in a Nursing Home as a Candy Stripper back in the 70's! That was the first thing they showed me my "very first day on the job". I have seen what diabetes does to people. "Not pretty"! So my advice is I would be "very" "very" careful with the amount of intake of fluids. You would be far better off to get some type of sugar free gum or candy to suck on or small ice chips rather than drinking extra amounts of fluid every single day.I spent over 24 years of my life working with the Elderly. You shouldn't need to get up more than once each night unless you are older than 60's, even then that isn't every night! At least "not" due to diabetes anyway, so don't delude yourself! 1. If you are a "Man" go have your prostate checked sometimes causes men to have the urge to urinate more often. 2. If you're a female, then go have your bladder checked & a complete physical. I wish each of you the best of luck in finding what & how to fix your problems, however I would truly lower that fluid intake before you do irreparable harm to those kidneys, once you damage them they can't be undamaged. "NOT" for a diabetic. I got fortunate, mine was caught fast enough that 4 days on dialysis & the one kidney kicked back in & is working fine today. my creatine level is doing great. I watch my diet, & my "fluid" intake. My A1C stays below the diabetic line now. I lost over 100lbs. So I am "no" longer using the Byetta or the pills. So please for your sakes Take Care.

Hi,
7-8 times per day and 1-2 times in night is normal. However, it also depends on season and the environment you are living in..

I'm 13 years old and I know you pee that many times a day depending on what you eat and how much water you get.I hardly drink and fluids and I pee only 3 times a day or less. Your body is growing and you should be drinking a lot of water. The average amount of water you need to drink is 8 cups a day.

No. That's normal. It's normal to go 6 or 10 times a day. Today i went like 8 times because i drinked different kinds of fluids.

After you give birth you will pee a lot more. Your body is trying to get back to normal and release a lot of the fluid you stored while pregnant

How many times per day should you pee? I pee about 7 times in the weekend and on school days I go 4 times, and when I laugh pee comes out. Is this normal?

Why does my husband have to urinate so many times, but only at night? Is that normal, or prostate problem?
