Hi my best friend is going through a tough time and she's the kind of person to eat more than usual when she's sad lineage eats her feelings and she's complaining about aiming weight and it makes her more sad and she's going thro depression and I really wana help her get better and weight is a big issue for her. What can I do to motivate her to lose weight I just want her to be happy. Advice please and thank you!!!

I think the best thing you can do for her is to be kind of a health instructor/nutritional instructor for her.

In addition to this, create a buddy system environment. Eat right with her and maybe keep diaries to compare with each other every couple of days. Set goals and if you can go and exercise with her. This will not only help her feel better about herself, and raise her self-esteem, she will have you to talk to about problems while you guys hang out to exercise or whatever.

How can I come about bringing up the idea I don't want her to think anything is wrong with her I just wanna help. Shuld I say.. Hey I wanna start eating healthy maybe we can do it together and start from there???

Sorry I didn't see you replied. Have you made any progress? If so what happened?




If not, yea...I would just say,"I'm having trouble having a healthy lifestyle. I wish I had a support system. If you could be my support system, that would help me out so much. We could encourage each other to do this, if you want." But that's just what I would do in that situation. GOod luck.
