Wow. I felt your pain in that post. I am on day 8 withdrawal from the grips of hell the last 20 years. My addiction has caused me so much turmoil and I've decided that I've had enough pain. Trust me I know more than anybody I'm going through 2 family break ups lost my first family and my second I work at fed ex this is day 3 for me but if u wanna talk I am here I'm very gentle and humble I'm hurting so bad but one day I can look at this as my own dark ages and hopefully god lends me a shoulder to cry on bc reality has hitt me hard

I agree, however, if a person ends up relapsing again and again, an alternative is way better. If someone is at the point of hopelessly relapsing... suboxone would be my first try over methadone. I've been on methadone and it was way better than the running and ripping and going to jail. Every case is different. Methadone does suck, don't get me wrong. But I've seen it save lives as well, including my own

I am starting my weening process on Monday as to my roommate will be home with me for 4 days. I am scared because I gave been on oxy for 2 gears daily. And hydro off and on for years, mostly on. I would rather feel pain than be in a constant fog. They use to give me energy but lately they make me feel blah. I have come to the conclusion that I was mostly taken them to mask the personal issues in my life. By all means, one cannot make good choices taking narcotics daily. I suck on lollipops all day and my teeth are rotten quickly. Think its opiads suger cravings

So what do you tell chronic pain people who run short of their meds...after 20 years???

I am on SSD with debilitating pain and don't always go 30 days between refills.

You're taking an outrageous amount of opiates, they make you hot and sweaty at 15-30mg, can't even imagine 10x that...but yea that's why your soaked lol

You can do this. It may take months but your brain chemistry will return to normal. At that point, If you continue to have issues with depression or anxiety get it addressed by a doctor. Good luck. I've been through a lot of what you're doing through.
