I am 17 years old and still a virgin. I have to be... if I loose my virginity, probably my husband would return me to my father. However, this is not important now. I really like this boy, whom I will not marry, but would like to be with him. are there any hymen stretch exercises, so if I have an intercourse, my hymen wouldn’t broke?

No, there are no such exercises. Some women have more, some less stretching hymen. Some loose their hymen while doing gymnastics, others when having sex for the first time. Some bleed excessively, with others there is just a little drip noticeable.

not everyone bleeds the first time they have sex. i read that in countries where virginity is really important, some women cut themselves or keep a little blood on hand to pour on the sheets afterwards just in case. if you are really worried, you can always rely on this.

second, your husband will not be able to tell by looking if your hymen is broken. think about it: he's probably never seen a vagina before, so how would he know what it is supposed to look like?

the hymen has very little nerve endings in it, you can barely even feel it tear.

The pain from losing your virginity is from your vagina stretching to accomodate the penis. Not the hymen.

I'd have to strongly disagree. It's different for everyone. When I had sex for the first time it was terribly painful. I could feel it stretch painfully before there was this strange, hard pop, and it got better after that. But...I bled for about a day and a half (lightly) and there was a dull ache for about 2-3 days. I had to hold back tears. I know it wasnt my vagina stretching to accomadate a penis because I know what that feels like, and it definitely wasnt that. Each hymen is completely different. Anyway, I love the boy i lost my virginity to (that was when i was 17 I'm now 23 and engaged to the same boy..well.. man. :) ) Dont worry though, after the first time, it gets less and less painful. (thank god)

Also girls, I think the whole idea of cutting your own hymen is really...fishy.. it doesnt sound right. Please do not trust everyone you hear on here, especially if they are a guest. Many women might mistake the opening of their vaginas (like the actual tissue) for the hymen. I would STRONGLY suggest not doing this without an actual doctor's consultation. Please be careful and dont change yourself for a man.

i have been with a few virgins in the past none of them have blead. you just have to take alot of time mounths in my experience of letting them become relaxed with u. then inserting fingers 1 then 2 and eventually 3. once they can relax with 3 it shouldnt bleed with sex for the first time. lubricant really makes a huge differnce it will reduce the friction and is great fun for playing with each other. and when it comes to sex it allows you to go alot faster before experiencing pain. i use liquid silk it doest dry and go tacky. also in my experience it gets tight again my girlfriend after a mounth of not seeing her she becomes like a virgin again. lubricant really is the key and relaxation. alot of plain is caused by the vagina tensing up from nerves making it hard to insert things in. you need to become relaxed with you partner this will help alot. i wouldnt advice putting sizors near vagina or local anithetic drugs u will cause more harm than good. if u want to relax and reduce pain have few glasses of wine or simular not to be drunk but enouth to make u little tippsy. make him take his time with u guys will usually push to go further just keep him in his place. if he wont wait then his the wrong person for u.

I really really would not recommend you try to cut your own hymen. If he were a REAL doctor he would have told you to see a doctor, not to cut your own hymen with scissors!! I'm sorry but that's just stupid.. plz don't try it!!

I stumbled across this and I have to add that the post above is right. Please do not mess around with trying to cut or numb your hymen. It is like trying to do a medical procedure on yourself - you shouldn't even try unless you are a doctor (and if you are a doctor, you'd know not to do something so stupid).

Every hymen is different. Some people have very little, some people a lot. Look on Wiki for some info.

As to intercourse. Having penetrative intercourse and then pretending to be a virgin? Well, if it means so much to stay intact then there is no answer except to not have penetration. Women actually have equally good (sometimes better) orgasms when externally stimulated - get your man to read up a bit on women's physiology! - and men can easily achieve orgasm without full on penetration.

For those worried about penetration. How much it hurts depends on the individual. Some don't at all, some do. Much depends on the size of the man, but more depends on how gentle he is and how relaxed and turned on you are. To be blunt, it's fitting something large into something small. Lubrication is essential (ie you genuinely turned on) and relaxed muscles around the vagina will make it easier for him to fit (which is why worrying is unhelpful).

Sex, especially your first time, should be something you look forward to - this attitude actually makes it easier. If it is with someone you love, and who loves you back, then they should respect you enough to take it slow and communicate with you while it's happening. It's something you are *sharing* after all, not something that should be taken.

If your culture permits it, a good tip for women (often given as advice prior to marriage) is to use their fingers in themselves to get the muscles used to being stretched. This doesn't have to be full-on masturbating, just as a form of preparation so the muscles learn to stretch better than they would otherwise.

guys i dont think they mean cut your HYMEN
some women have some blood on hand or cut themselves a little to get blood so that they can put it on the sheets so their man thinks their a virgin.
seriously, cut your vagina? ew.

I think everyone should take a look at this web page. It has to be the most informative source on this topic I have seen yet.

In short, the hymen can be stretched by means as simple as using a finger. Though first-time sex can be uncomfortable due to unfamiliar sensations, it should not be painful or excessively bloody. I wish someone had told me this before so I wouldn't feel queasy every time I tried to imagine what my first time would be like.

You can stretch your hymen actually. Start with a small object like your finger and move it around making the widest circle you can. I you feel slight pain or aches thats a good sign, it shows your stretching, but if the pain is very intense and fiery it means you might be on your way to tearing yourself. Keep streching your hymen until you can fit two fingers in then repeat the whole with those fingers until you can fit bigger and bigger things it. When you can fit what you'd think could be the size of a penis in you without it hurting you have reached your goal. Keep doing the excersises with the penised sized object so that you dont tighten back up.

For anyone who doesnt think the hymen can strech you are mistaken because skin does strech like a stomach to accomadate a baby or extra weight, and does tighten up like the recovery period after birth or the body response after the burning of fat.

Me and my boyfriend are sexually active. I have little hymen left but sex is extremely painful everytime. The stretching is not it. I've pressed on my hymen with my finger and that is the pain I feel. It's not tearing and it hurts so much. Any ideas?
