my name is savannah.i am 13 and weigh 179 lbs.i stand 5'3.the doctor says i need to lose at least a total of 50 lbs inorder to hit a healthy weight.i have tried every weight lost idea possible...im down to one last thing...and i dont wanna do it but if it works i can manage.you see this s really bothering me because i use to be tiny.when i was 3 i was the average weight of a 9 month old.when i was 5 i weighed 38 lbs.when i turned 7 i weighed 50+ lbs.but when i turned 8 i started going threw some stressfull times i gained a total amount of 41 lbs.(in a year!!!!)when i turned 10 i weighed 120 lbs. i began this habbit of feeding my pain.my parents gt a divorce...and i was really struggling.i am still struggling but the problem is...im healthy.i eat my daily servings of dairy,vegtables,grains,water and fruit(some protein).i am constantly chasing my 2 youngr sisters and little brother around.i ride my bike twice a week i work in a garden all day,i even do a 15 minute cardio every night before bed unless i really pushed hard to exercise that day.but after all this i have lost nothn.
this baffles me because im doing everything right...but im doing everything wrong.im starting to get worried because diabeties is HUGE in my family,my cousin has a thiaroid issue,my dad and my cousin both have autamune hepititas.these are all things that could impact my weight gain problem.
so i need your opinion on this one.should i go to a doctor and seek professional help in the matter that i may have a bad thiaroid(part of the body that helps to gain and lose weight)?or does someone else have something better i can do. :-(

savannah is a beautiful name! sweetie, i'm an emotional eater myself. you just need to make smart decisions. eat fruit, veggies, grilled chicken, tuna, drink lots of water. take walks, ride bikes, and when or if you get upset or feel sad, write it all down in a journal. write everything down, all your anger, frustration, sadness, etc.... it really helps to get it ALL out! write as much or as little as you need to. Don't worry so much about your weight and start enjoying your life. You can even write about your dreams, goals, etc. i've even cut out pictures and taped them in my journal of what i wanted. Make several journals! :-)
