i am 265 pounds and half an inch from being 6ft and tired of trying to lose weight and it does not work.
can someone give info please?

A high protein, high fiber, low carb diet may be helpful. This translates to all the meat and veggies that you can eat, but go easy on the pasta, potatoes, rice and bread. Stay away from sugary foods.

Well hoseclamps is right, stay away from pasta, potatoes, rise and bread. I really like pasta, but I try not to eat it too much and often. I had some problems with weight and now I'm ok. Just started to watch what do I eat. I cut out on bread and pasta. Eat vegetables as much as I can, and also I feel so much healthier. Eat see food, lots of fish.
Also I do exercises. Some cardio (swimming and cycling) and a little weight lifting. Nothing much, just to keep my strength. You need to do some exercise to burn your fat, diet alone will not help you effectively. I hasn't for me.
