Hello, so today I found out I was pregnant, my only worry is that I’m unsure if if will be my new boyfriend or another guy I slept with before I got with him, I Had sex with the random guy on the 31st March, I then took Ellaone a couple of days later, I then got a period about week and half later ( still trying to find out exact dates) so that putting my period around 10th/11th of May, since then got with my current boyfriend and have slept together most days, As I have only found out today I’m not sure how far I am gone, I was just hoping someone could help with the information so far, thank you in advance

The likelihood is that EllasOne worked (or was unnecessary) as you had a 'period' 10/11 April (corrected date), but period history might have helped.

3. How did you find out you were pregnant?

My March period ended on the 22nd, before that they were similar and January was around the 26th, and the same here normally come on around the end of the month, the April period after taking ellaone was earlier than normal and was a longer period, I done a test last night and a very faint line appeared, am going to buy clear blues today to be sure, thank you

Period start-dates (rather than ending dates) are the important ones. A cycle is measured from one start-date to another and is used to estimate fertile days. But if you usually have a 5-day period, it is likely you have a 28-day cycle. A faint line indicates pregnancy but at an early stage. If you are getting another test today use the Clearblue dating test.

Hi, just used the test and it said 2-3 weeks and working out if I was pregnant from the randomer it would mean I would be 6 and half weeks pregnant, so would it be safe to say it’s my current boyfriends? Thank you for your help really appreciate it

• Probably only a paternity test would give absolute certainty.
• The due date (20 Feb) seems to be calculated from your LMP rather than from a dating scan. That assumes a 28-day cycle, suggesting Ovulation (+fertilisation) was on 30 May. That would probably give preference to an ejaculation on 28 May. However, your April/May cycle was 32 days. If you regularly have a 32-day cycle, then 28 May might not have been a fertile day.

2. Was the scan a dating scan?
3. Was the scan abdominal or trans-vaginal?
4. Did both guys ejaculate?
5. Can you say anything else about what happened (including circumstances)?

3. It sounds as though your cycles are possibly 31/32 days if your periods this year varied with 12th-16th start-dates.
4. Do you normally have unprotected sex? you risk infection as well as pregnancy! Were these the only two sexual encounters for a while (April/May)?
5. You haven't said much about the circumstances of your two encounters (or whether one was a regular boyfriend) so only a paternity test will determine. However, if you normally have a 31/32 week cycle, then I would guess the most likely father is #2. What support do you have?

-first time with partner #1, unaware that he had ejaculated (he lied and said he didn't)

When else since 16 May did you have sex with #2?
Is #2 aware of #1 encounter?
Will #2 support you anyway? (but it seems likely #2 might be the father)
