I feel like i had a throat punch.

I am having the same feeling and from doing internet research, I think it is something to do w/ the tonsils. Possibly tonsillitis. If mine keeps hurting by tomorrow, I'm going to the doc. Just to be sure. It hurts when I swallow and yawn. So strange.
