I have had a constricted urethra for 10 years and have to take antibiotics continually. Just wondering if there is anyone out there who has had the same problem and who may have found a solution so that I don't have to use a catheter 4 times a day. Would welcome any advice.
Hi! If you are a male you could maybe use a condom catheter. Condom catheters are most frequently used in elderly men with dementia. There is no tube placed inside the penis. Instead, a condom-like device is placed over the penis. A tube leads from this device to a drainage bag. The condom catheter must be changed every day. I also found something called The Vortex ZDS™, that's a catheter engineered specifically to dramatically reduce Catheter Associated Urinary Tract Infections. So you could look for more information about it. I hope this helps.
