Hi, I heard that surgery outcomes can be different from case to case. Two people can react differently after the same surgery. What are possible outcomes of hysterectomy?

Hi, hysterectomy outcome depends on patient’s history and type of the surgery. For example, total and partial hysterectomy are the same surgery, but different types. There’s bigger chances for a good outcome after partial hysterectomy, because it is less dangerous operation than total hysterectomy. However, patients can react differently on the same type of a surgery too. It can be caused by some little damage made during the surgery, by medicine reaction and sometimes by age. Outcomes are different from case to case, and you can never predict them with 100% of certainty. Hysterectomy is operation that usually has a good outcome. There are even some things you can do to avoid post op complications.
