Hello, I have some good and some bad news. The good is that I have finally managed to get pregnant after a year of trying and the bad is that I am not sure if I will be able to keep the pregnancy. I mean, I am terribly afraid that there is something wrong and I guess it’s because I’m 34 years old. Do I need to do amniocentesis?
Well, you do know that overall progress of every aspect of the human life, including medicine and the average lifespan, leads to late pregnancies, ones that have slightly more risk involved. Amniocentesis is a diagnostic procedure recommended for all mothers, not only those that are over 30 years of age. But, there is no need for worrying right now, I mean, the test wasn’t even done. Wait for the results, there is really a big percentage of possibility that everything is just fine.
