I had been on the pill straight for over 10 years and because of my age (43) just wanted to go off. After I went off I knew I ovulated from all the signs and pain. Although, I too have not gotten a period. I know that I was ovulating. I don't know how your Dr. could say you didn't ovulate when you did! You took a test and I know my body pretty well. It's going on 2 months for me w/out a period. i have read that it can take 6 months to get a period again, but I too wonder how you can ovuate and not get your period. Best of luck to you and keep pushing doctors for answers. Keep us posted!

I ovulate every month and only get my period once of twice a year. I have PCOS, but they couldn't detect it with a regular ultrasound, I had to get an internal. I have very elevated testosterone levels so that was a tip off. I know I ovulate because I feel that pinch, my internal temperature rises and ovulation tests come back positive. Some women have elevated LH and will get false positives on ovulation tests when they did not actually ovulate. If they didn't do an internal ultrasound I would ask for one.

Sounds like PCOS to me. PCOS gives false positives on ovulation test kits. I found that out the hard way. Have they done an ultrasound?
