I'm not sure if this message will get to you, but I hope you read this. I have been through the same situation except that I made it to the hospital on time, but guess what? doctors thought I had an infection and released me on the same after giving me plenty of pain killers. The day after I went to another and been told that I was having a testicular torsion and a surgery is needed to remove my right tactical. So, don't regret not going to the hospital on time because you just never knew what's could happened.
Anyway, they removed my right testicle when i was 24 years old, and i'm now 26 living a normal life; it's been two years now. Also, I'm married and just had a beautiful daughter and never have any problem with my sexual drive at all. Please try to change your thoughts about this and live your life as nothing happened to you because trust me you're living a normal life. It's all mental
I see you posted this back in August of 2012, so it's been some time since then. It may not be much consolation to you, but as long as you're still able to continue with your life, virtually uninterrupted, then you have nothing to worry or feel bad about. Yes, it's terrible you had this happen to you. It was an accident. There was really no way to prevent it from happening. Accidents happen to good people all the time.
Personally, I've been dealing with a mystery condition, which I think is related to partial torsion and epididymitis (two different things on each testicle), which restricts my movements or makes me completely unable to move (no running, no jumping, no sleeping on my side, etc). I've been dealing with this for over 4 months without any signs of improvement or prognosis for getting better in the future; just constant pain and discomfort. I am virtually bed-ridden and house-bound... but I still have both testicles. So, having both testes doesn't signify anything about health and normal. It's leading a healthy life in the company of your loved ones that matters the most.
I hope you are doing well.
thank you :)
I lost my left testicle on Monday evening due to a torsion.
I also was mis diagnosed on Saturday and sent home with antibiotics. I have torsion incidents in the last 10 years probably once every year-18 months but within 8 hours it's gone back to normal prob through untwisting themselves
I was very unimpressed with my doc on sat as the symptoms were clearly of a torsion as was saying I've had trouble in the past. When I went back on Monday 2 docs said again it was an infection and only worse (at this point my left ball was the size of an apple) because I may have been allergic to the medicine.
Only after a scan and a Surgeon speaking to me did they identify it was a torsion. I had emergency surgery straight away but my testicle was long gone as it been nearly 3 days since the original pain which I can only describe as my ball being squeezed constantly.
I have been reading sites of people who have had similar incidents. I am glad to hear you have had a family since. I am 27 and do not have children so your story gives me some much needed confidence.
I have been told recovery about 6 weeks, how long did it take for everybody to feel normal/at ease
Chris
I did read your message and I started crying. Because that almost excalty same thing happened to me , I am 15 year old . About a month ago. I lost my right testicle due to testicular torsion. And now I think I will not get girlfriend ever. Cause of this happening. In a morning I started to feel stomach pain in down right in my stomach. First I thought it was just regulat stomach pain. But when I went to shower I saw, that my right testicle was about 3 times as big as my right testicle. But this same thing has happened to me before and it went away. But this time it didnt and I was embarrassed to tell anyone. And I told my mom later and we went to hospital next day. And I cant believe that I was so stupid. I knew about testucular torsion all the time. But , I knew what it was so I wanted to believe something better and think its not possible to be that, cause I cannot be that one out of 4000 men who gets this. And the pain wasnt very bad, I could live with it for one year if I only get my testicle back.
i am still sad because my sex ability became lower
Guys please proceed with caution !!
. these doctors are not all knowing!!!
they do not understand hardly anything when it comes to twisted testicals / lower body nerves .....
and I’m talking about UROLOGIST!!..
U would think they would but I’ve yet to find one ..
if u have noticed ur once low hanging testical now higher up and sideways , try fixing it urself by rotating it a couple times in each direction until u feel relief .. it will twist eventually again but just get good / use to undoing it urself ..
I did that for years and finally got talked into surgery ...
I wish I would of never done it !!...
. it’s horrible , u will never feel normal down there again ....
watch a video of procedure being performed on YouTube it will prove my point in itself
I wished I would of never got the surgery ...
I could feel better in seconds after I got use to how to untwist it myself ....where now , I sometimes go weeks with uncomfortable feeling ...
Other reasons I warn to stay away from urologist ....
they say ur testical is dead after so long .... that it doesn’t come back to life ....
WRONG !!...
I had all the signs of a dead
. even showed the dr the proof of the blood seamen - pea size testical ... the fact that it was prolly 1/7th the size it once was .. he said yes that’s signs of a dead testical... I said well check it out I untwisted them about a week before I came .. it’s now back to normal size , just still high and sideways ....he said mine where both Alive... and I said ... so dr I just guessed / made that up??.. he said they can’t come back to life ...
IM LIVING OROOF!!.. why would I make that up??.. he couldn’t answer ...
next ... before surgery ....
I was a machine in the bed .. could outlast any woman... 3O mins - Hour long .. no problem ...m
after surgery ...
if I last 1 minute It’s a marical (dr says surgery didn’t cause that) .... hmmm
so before surgery I could go hours ... have surgery , now 2 second Timmy ... umm yes it’s connected!!.. it was the only thing to happen / change in my life ....
next thing ...
constipation ...
before surgery never had trouble ... after surgery , I can now be bound up, manover my testical a certain way while on toilet , and bottom drops out
(dr again says not connected/not possible )... never had trouble before surgery , now since surgery it happens ..
where there is smoke there is fire !!.
. so please guys , these drs only know a small amount they truly have no idea .. or either the last 5 urologist I’ve seen we’re the bottom of the class .....
I believe there is nerves and things going thru our lower body that is all so close together that they simply make one small cut or stitch one one place and it causes trouble ... saw so many urologist , that I even started bringing my wife to back up my story and vouch for what I was telling them ... she left crying and said she understood my pain that I’m living proof , but yet they don’t listen / believe me ... some of the urologist know me and know I’m a very well known respected person and know I’m not crazy , so Why not agree with me ??.. it’s bc they don’t know the truth their self .. they only have what they have been told in med school ....
my recommendation is figure out how to untwist on ur own ... they say u have 6-12 hours then it’s dead .... I went 4 years !!!..4 years before I figured out how to untwist it to get relief .... with periods of a pea size testical and brown and red seamen coming out at times ... find a dr who u can show this too and if they will agree that nerves and all are down there and every little thing effects every little thing down there .. then and only then slowly proceed with that dr ... but never let them take ur testicle .. it’s just not true that it’s dead forever .... if ur a urologist reading this and have had this done to yourself and understand what I’m saying I’d love to talk and teach where others can be helped ... I was 22 when my right testical became raised and sideways .. and it was always my low hanging one .... surgery at 26... now 32 and hope for the day I find the dr with the true knowledge to fix / make me back to normal / even take torsion self over this “pexed’’ normal .. need to talk about it or have similar situation .. email me .. we need to get urologist on the same page and realize they are missing some important stuff ... I wouldn’t wish this on my worst enemy , I want to be part of fixing this .. so please anyone on either side I’ll gladly share my story it’s way more than what I can type here .. good luck guys and. God bless
