Ok, I have had sebaceous prominence for about 4 years. I read online that accutane (taken in pill form) greatly reduces sebaceous prominence and in some cases has made it go away. However accutane has some harsh side effects and can be very dangerous. However, I found an accutane topical gel that can be applied to the effected area.

xlpharmacy.com/accutanetopicalgel-isotretinoin/1348.html

Has anyone tried or heard of this working to cure or reduce sebaceous prominence. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
I have been trying it for a while to little avail so far. I know of other people also but it ain't shown any considerably improvement if any for them either.

I was on a similar medication (Isotretinoin) and I believe it was around that time (possibly earlier) that I developed Sebaceous Prominence.

Hey Ive always had sb, the only time it started to go away was near my 4th or 5th month of accutane use (pills)- so we know that something in accutane does have an effect on sb. unfortunately after i stopped takin accutane the sb slowly came back. Read the side effects of the topical accutane and lets see if this works!

I started Accutane (pill form 20mg 2 times a day) about a month ago and have noticed much improvement at the start of this week. They are not gone but have gone down in size and are hardly noticeable. Hopefully within the next 4 months they completely go away which I assume they will at this rate. But I do believe they will come back after the medication is stopped.

Hey, yeah i was on the pill -isotretinoin for about three months till they took me off it cause my white blood cell count went down. I did notice the all of the SP went away though by the third month. IT was great! but then about a month after it was back in full force so it still not a cure for it.

Accutane is a very dangerous drug that some dermatologists spread around like candy. The side effects, topically applied or orally taken, are enough so that you think twice.

BEFORE you commit to accepting that c**p in your body for cosmetic reasons, try this:

Topical treatment with tea tree oil may be more effective because the abnormal bacterial flora is replaced by normal lactobacillus."So we end up with the fact that this person either has a condition other than SP or PPP, or has not followed (or been given) correct instruction on applying this AMAZING remedy for SP and PPP.

What is the correct in applying tea tree? Soak the penis (or affected area) with as warm a wet towel compress as you can stand for 15-20 minutes 3 times a day. Have prepared a solution: 8-10 drops tea tree essential oil to 4 ounces witchazel (very strong solution) in a spray bottle. Once you soak, spray the area with this solution.

[8-10 drops to 8 oz. can be considered an aggressive treatement].

Keep your stuff clean, lay off the jacking, and DO NOT cut, scrape, or pop your willy - who knows what's going to go in the hole you're leaving behind. If this is does not show very significant improvement on PPP and significant improvement to SP within 1 week, see a dermatologist or your medical doctor. It may be aliens.
