i completely agree with the prenatal advice. i have ALWAYS cut my own hair, and have only had it a few inches past my shoulders twice in my entire life...i'm 24 now, lol. i got pregnant with my first child in '09, and took the prenatals for a couple of months. i started out with chin length hair, and by the time i delivered my son, it was between my shoulder blades. it was amazing how quickly it grew.  i also do believe that hair growth stems from your diet. like the previous person wrote, you are what you eat. if you fill your body with junk, your body will excrete junk, whether it be in your hair, nails, skin, body odor, etc. but def. try the prenatals: not only will they keep you filled with essential vitamins, they'll also help you grow stronger, healthier hair and nails. :)

Extensions don't make your hair weak if you get clip in ones. Don't do glue in ones cause they just break your hair off when it starts to grow. Try Biotin or Prenatal pills.

I think u should take multivitamins for kids it makes you very healthy which is a good think so your hair will grow faster. Also i would drink alot of water probaly 5 or more bottles a day and only wash every other day. and eat a healthy breakfeast meaning probaly eggs there good protein. avoid straighteners or any other heat sources and comb your hair instead of brushing it its alot better for your hair. And get at least 8 hours a sleep at night. I was given this advice as well because i got my hair chopped and i hate it so mine has grown a little bit it just takes time.

I no from experience that the best thing you can do is get your hair trimmed about every once a month, and dont straighten your hair or apply any kind of heat. vitamins will help a little. And your not supose to wash your hair every day only about 2 - 3 times a week because your hair produces natural oils that are better than any thing else. and when you wash your hair those oils are washed away so stay away from clear shampoo's and i would recomend baby shampoo to wash your hair its not as harsh on you hair as other shampoos. as for conditioner, conditioner that has alot of different oils is the best.also your diet has alot to with the way your hair grows. I my self did all of the thing i suggested and my hair has grown out about 5-6 inches in 6 months.

actually, sometimes hair grows very fast. My hair grows about 2 inches a month. I chop it off every few months and donate it to locks of love or cuts for kids. just because your hair doesn't grow as fast doesn't mean that other people's grow the same as you. if you look it up anywhere it says an AVERAGE of a few centimeters a month, but an average is taking a bunch of people's comparisons and making the number equal to them all. as for vitamins to take, b vitamins are good as is vitamin c and e. they all stimulate the scalp and help growth. I've been taking lots of vit c with a couple vit e a day and my hair is getting much thicker than it was before.

okay so, i read all of these and i think i might try it ive had a bod for about 2 years & it looks really good on me but i just want to see what it does long. well i went and asked a pharmecist what they thought i should do do and they said i should take a vitamin e. my hair dresser also told me that if i didnt use the straightener all the time it would help, she also said that the childrens chewable Flintstone vitamins would work. so far all i have done is take the Vitamin e and brush my hair a lot, and ive actually noticed that my hair is growing faster then it used to.

i AGREE ABOUT DIET, MASSAGING THE SCALP AND VITMINB. ON MY DAYS OFF I PUT PURE COONUT OIL IN MY HAIR AND IT SEEMS TO HELP SPLIT ENDS. MY BIGGEST SUGGESTION IS CLIP IN HAIR EXTENSIONS. IM NOT A HAIR DRESSER..JUST GOT MESSED OVER BY A BAD ONE WHO TOLD ME "OH IT WILL GROW BACK..IN TIME" AND DIDN'T CARE WHAT i WANTED AS FAR AS A HAIRSTYLE. SHE SAID IT WOULD BE SOOO CUTE SHORT. MY HUSBAMD HATES SHORT HAIR ON ME SO I DID THE CLIP INS AND NOW ITS LONG AGAIN AND I STILL USE THEM FOR FULLER HAIR. GOOD LUCK.

Nothing will make your hair grow over night. I'm in the same situation. My hair is a little past shoulder length right now, but I want longer hair too. The massaging will definitely help. And when you brush your hair, first brush it upside down, because it also gets the blood flow going. Drink plenty of water, and drink some milk, too, since it contains protein. Keeping healthy is always a smart idea too. When you want to use heat tools, use a heat protection spray (any kind works honestly) and do your hair in layers. Try not to use a whole lot of products though, because they will weaken and put a damper on your hair. Just treat it like it's your baby, and keep getting small trims every few months to keep it healthy too. Hope you're doing good! (:
