I had a ana test done because I had some problems in my legs where they turn blotchy and my toes go numb sometimes from the cold. The Doctor wasn't very concerned, but suggested I take this test anyway, since sometimes it is associated with Lupus. My test came back positive, but I have no other symptoms. She said I had moderate levels (whatever that means) but didn't seem concerned about doing follow up tests since I have no symptoms. How likely is it that I have an autoimmune disease or lupus? I feel healthy and look fine otherwise. Am I worrying over nothing?
Hello there Jenw10179,
If your doctor is not concerned about your test results than you are for sure worrying about nothing. And I am sure that you are aware of the fact that stress has a great influence on us so if you start to think about Lupus and symptoms of Lupus you are probably going to find some of them and then you will freak out even more. It would be best to stop paying attention to this but if you can’t and you are still concerned about tests results than simply go and see another doctor. He can even redo your test so you will see by yourself if there is any reason for stressing yourself about this.
