I'm a girl and i used a hairbrush (a goody brush) to masturbate with for the first time and it was really uncomfortable so I didn't go through with it. I washed it before and after I used it, but now I'm worried that the chemicals on the brush can hurt me because i gave it direct access to my bloodstream. Am I just over thinking this?

Look, nothing is going to happen, dont worry. Was it soap you used or things like dettol.

I have used hair brush handles to masturbate since I was 12. Ive used soap to wash the handle and nothing has happened to me.

The only thing I have noticed and experienced is that I have to use it a certain way so I dont hurt myslef.

You dont have to wash the brush with soap or any antiseptic. Just rinse it well under running water.

I used just some regular hand soap to clean the handle. I developed some abdominal pain but it went away after a couple days, which is why I became worried. Thank you for the help! :)

I don't think so. I've never had pain after masturbating before. I didn't get my period after that though, which would of made sense if I did. i got the abdominal pain the day after, but no period. It was mainly in the appendix tho. :// But thank you!

could it be ovulation pain? The ovaries are located in the same place. If you were turned on and needed to masturbate it would make sense that you were on your fertile phase of your cycle ( generally us girls are more turned on then - natures way of ensuring pregnancy if we do have sex)
The pain may have been ovulation pain from the way you describe.

I looked it up and the symptoms of ovulation pain cover most of what I have. I'm relieved it wasn't anything serious, and I believe I'm close to my period anyways so it adds up. Thanks for the help!
