Im 16 and weigh 140kg. I really want to lose wieight before i go back to college. I have tried cutting back on calories but that didnt work. I have done a lot of walking however lately i havet been able to as there are problems in the area concerning girl my age. I have asked my mom if she can buy healthier foods however her partner doesnt eat healthy food so wont buy them for me. I have asked to have money for gym membership but my parents just told me i was being stupid. I hate myself and feel really uncomfotable. Do you have any suggestions? :)

aww, that sounds rough! I remember myself weighing 86 kilos at the age of 13 and was maybe 150 cm tall, so yeah, I wasn't really skinny. And my family, especially parents are big on good food themselves (I mean really filling, good, but unhealthy stuff, and in quite large amounts), but one time I motivated myself to just lose it. I lost 30 pounds, so about 15 kilos the first half year, and now I'm already about 65 kilos, so yeah, progress! Anyways, I'd say find yourself a good work-out routine that you can do at home, maybe get yourself someone who is in good shape and do activities with her? That is definitely good for motivation. Also, what comes to eating, you do not need to count your calories religiously, otherwise you'll stress it. What you could do though is track them a little, but not too much so you won't get obsessed/stressed out. Also, remember that you want weight loss and keep it off, something that quick dieting won't do. So what you're looking at would be a change in lifestyle. Try just cutting back on the bad foods, if you eat out, look out for good lean options, and when it comes to eating at home, eat the healthiest option you have and skip on the unhealthier foods.

It's really unfortunate that your mom is not willing to buy you lean foods. Maybe you should go grocery shopping together? Also, you might want to motivate your mom and her partner to cut back as well. More motivation!

Anyways, I hope this helps and I wish you a lot of luck! It's definitely not the easiest thing to do. :-)
