I love to go freeballing, started to do it when I was 19, frequently semi-hard but that was part of the fun, and also now and again getting a full erection. Of course I chose my "public", doing it for ex. when having walks with a girl. Great fun for both.

Can't say I think of my situation as fun, but it's nice that my girlfriend likes it. As for freeballing, to me it's not much different than wearing loose boxers underneath. I guess if you were used to tighty whities it would feel pretty different, though!

I think puberty is when we start paying attention to our erections, I guess because they get bigger and more noticeable, and because we become aware of the sexual aspect. We have them long before then, though. I certainly did, at least - almost constantly, although it never bothered me. I never really paid much attention to it until I developed, and then after a year or two of being really self conscious about it, I learned to laugh it off and not worry about it. It's just an erection, and all guys get them - it's not something to be ashamed of or embarrassed about.

We certainly do, we have them as babies. When I was in the army I worked with many married guys my age and I would babysit for them just to get away from the barracks for a night. One in particular was a good friend I visited often so his wife knew me well. One evening we were sitting at the table with the girl next door and her baby son while waiting for them to go out. They were talking about their baby sons when the girl next door mentioned how cute it was when he got a hard on. He looked like a tiny version of her husband. My friend decided to change diapers on hers to leave me with a freshly diapered baby. Her friend got her baby on the table and bared him so they compare. Well, I don't have any memories like that, but I remember being maybe six or seven years old and being at the doctor for some reason or other, and my mom mentioning to the doctor that I was always erect. I think the doctor asked me if it really was always, and I said most of the time but not always. He asked me if it hurt, I think, and I said no, and he said it probably wasn't anything to worry about. It went something like that anyway - I won't swear to the exact wording - but I sort of half remember wondering what the fuss was about.

I also remember being with a friend as we changed into swimsuits, and my friend asking me why mine was always hard (we were probably around eight years old, maybe) and I said I didn't know, it just was. He said his was just sometimes. I don't remember where the conversation went from there. I also remember my mom worrying that I'd be uncomfortable because of being erect, and making sure I had room for my little penis in pants, cutting the lining out of boxer style swimsuits, and things like that. Anyway, the point is, I have clear memories of being erect as a little kid. Why it was so much of the time I don't know - it just seemed normal to me and I didn't spend much time thinking about it until puberty.

It seems kind of strange to me now that people are so worried about everything. When I was growing up I just accepted things as they happened to me as being normal for a kid growing up.

Good points. I'm just old enough that there was no computer to look things up on when I was a kid. If there had been, my mom no doubt would have googled something about erections in pre-pubescent boys, found something scary, and then worried about it. Instead she was told by someone who actually knew something that it wasn't anything to worry about. There was a little more conversation about it that I don't remember, but we left the doctor's office with no worries - or at least I certainly did. Of course I wasn't worried about it in the first place. lol

Besides - define normal! Everyone's a little different! To stretch the point - generally it's not normal to be three quarters erect all the time, but it's situational. I had an injury that caused that condition in me, and without corrective surgery that IS my normal. Unusual, sure, but I'm not the only guy it's ever happened to. So again, define normal. According to two different urologists and, without going into endless detail (I'll give more detail if anyone cares) under the circumstances it's at least not abnormal, just unusual. If anything's really unlikely, it's that a guy who had constant erections until his early twenties would have an accident that caused a permanent partial erection before he was thirty! lol

Hi guys, I've got a "grower" which is 4-5 cm when soft and 15-16 when hard. Because of my balls my penis rests on them and is standing away horizontally even if soft. But i'm only very rarely really soft but most of the time I'm half erect with my penis changing from 7-8 cm still looking more or less soft with the tip hanging down over my balls and 10-12 and all standing but only horizontally. I didn't have real problems accepting my half erections because it stood anyway and at least that way it was bigger. I always felt ashamed though and still do when it happens in public when my penis changes from one stage to another or when I get a complete erection.

I never really hung down much at all either, even when soft. Not that I can remember, at least. I suppose I fall into the "shower" category, though, because my size never did change much. Of course I'm certainly a "shower" now, but even before the injury mine mostly just stuck pretty much straight out. Same thing - my balls never let it hang down. I've lost all shame about it, though. I refuse to let it run my life, I refuse to be embarrassed or ashamed about it. What am I going to do, stay home and hide? The only concession I make is to wear compression shorts when I have to go somewhere like a funeral or something like that, but that's pretty uncomfortable and I only do it if I have to. It shouldn't be anything to be ashamed of - guys get erections all the time and they aren't necessarily sexual, a lot of the time they're just random and don't mean anything at all. Or they're due to an injury like mine, or maybe the guy's just a "shower" to begin with and isn't even hard. Anyway, people shouldn't judge or make assumptions, and I don't have to let it bother me when they do. Neither do you.

Yes this is ennoying I know. I had the same problem when a teenager but not to the same extent as some here but it was difficult for me to be naked without getting a hard-on, the simple idea of having to get naked was often enough already to get my penis high! Fortunately it calmed down after a few years and I can say that nowadays (I'm 22) I only get hard when aroused. My brother is less fortunate so far. He's 23 and he's still hard pretty often for no reason at all but he's always been hard more often than I was. But it's no real bother to him since he has no obligation to get naked anymore, not as we had in the school changing rooms.

Yeah, changing rooms were never my favorite places. It's one thing to have a bulge in your pants, but having to get naked was something else. It took me a while, but I just had to learn to ignore it - it wasn't like I had much choice. If there's a good thing about it, it's that after having to be naked in front of others with an erection, having a bulge in your pants doesn't seem like such a big deal. At least that's how it worked for me.

I've gotten a short penis when soft also, 3 or 4 cm, depends, only glans the rest protracts somehow and it stands away, doesnt rest on my balls, just sticks out so when it grows it kind of just sticks out more and more. I made peace with that but I hated that it was so small to begin with and that it grows and gets soft again all the time. Its constantly changing like that, full erections I only have 2 or 3 times a day, not counting morning wood, but I always get half hard and then back again so when I'm naked my penis like comes out and gets back in, it grows to 5 cm or up to 8 or 9, dpends, and gets back to 3. a "cycle " lasts for 5 to 10 minutes. I felt lot of shame for that.

I'd like to know how many of us there are out there. I mean not guys like you woodsman with an injury but just us with the blood getting stuck down there. I'm 29, still pretty much hard pretty often and I've met 3 other guys like me in high school. Aren't there any stats?
