I have been taking morphine 30 mg every 12 hrs, 4 wks now.what can the doctor give me to get off this stuff its been hell!
Most doctors will taper you off slowly so you do not get withdrawals. There are different ways of tapering. Ask your doctor what method s/he uses. If you are still having severe pain and its the side-effects you can't stand ask if there is alternate pain meds. I had to take Gravol for extreme nausea when I was on morphine after a bad car accident.
