implatation or what? My period was different than before, it was heavier and darker

I started my normal cycle on 7/23/2006, it lasted the normal time span of 5 days, had sex on 7/30/06 and then on 8/2/06 I had spotting then on 8/3 and today 8/4/ it's heavier and darker, what can this be????
