I had a cortisone injection in my L4 region about 6 days ago. My sciatica pain has increased, not decreased. I called the doctor and he said this is not unusual and the cortisone will kick in. Is this because the cortisone is increasing the pressure on my sciatic nerve? I was nervous about this procedure and now regret it. I was depressed to begin with and this has made me almost suicidal.
