Same thing is happening to me, but I am not on antibiotics, nor was I previously. I just keep taking the blue pills, thinking my period is going to go away. But every afternoon I bleed. I have been on the pill for 8 months this time, and years before this and I have never experienced this much bleeding from missing one pill. If I am pregnant am I harming the baby?
I have been on levlen ed for 2 years now and at the begging of this pack i missed 4 tablets (because the pharmacy was shut down because of a fire), so on the Tuesday when i got my new packet i took all 4 at the same time, then i was sick that night, so i didn't take any one Wednesday because i was scared i would be sick again, so on Thursday i took Wednesdays pill and on Friday i took Fridays and Thursdays pill, and on Saturday i went back to normal, taking the pills at the same regular time. But my boyfriend and i had unprotected sex on the Tuesday and the Wednesday (after i was taking the pills regularly again) then i read on the packet that i was supposed to wait 7 days before having unprotected sex after i had missed a pill. Now it is Monday (and Saturday was 7 days after i had started taking them regularly again) and during the weekend i have been lightly bleeding but a browny color. I'm really worried that i might be pregnant but i cant find out by a test until next Wednesday which is the day that I'm supposed to get my period. If any one has any advise for me it would be muchley appreciated.
you have to take the sugar pills, you can't just keep taking blue pills it doesn't allow the body to cycle regularly, it will decrease your chances of getting pregnant ever..or having any kind of a regular cycle. last time i tried to skip my period i ended up still getting it for the night i was preventing it from happening on, and it lasted 2 weeks. so i just take them all, sugar pills included & deal with the 3-5 days a month.

however, on the week i was having a period at the end of the week during the third month, my boyfriend and i tried sex for the first time. he didnt have a condom but he pulled out.
it has been about three weeks since then and just today i got a brownish color blood and cramps. im not supposed to start my period for another week. im wondering if this could be a sign of pregnancy, and if there is anything i can do.

I had this same problem. Period before your expected period, light, dark discharge with blood and terrible cramps before and while on my period and breakthrough bleeding. Isnt BC supposed to help all of this? I took ortho tri cyclen lo, and i just went to my GYN and she told me that this happened because it is a low hormone dosage and that it wasnt enough for me, so she just changed me to regular ortho tri cyclen, we'll see how it goes after that.
i have the same irregular 'bleeding' happening right now too when i just started birth control.. how long does the bleeding usually last for? because for me its already been about 6 days and doesnt seem to be going away..?
I started birth control again this last month and at the end while taking the placebos. i started bleeding for one night than it stopped. now my period was due a few days ago and since that one night it hasnt come.. could i be pregnant?

Lol i Love how people post like they know wtf they are talking about. I had this problem a while back and it means the pills you are taking are not strong enough. Your body has gotten used to the dosage, get a stronger pill prescribed from your doc!
:-( my daughter is 3 months and two weeks and 3 days. since the birth of my daughter my period has been on and off. sometimes twice a month. its brown and balck in colour smelly sometimes heavy and sometimes light. i have also noticed some blood clot. during this period me and my husband have been having unprotected sex. i have done smear test and scan and the results were all good.i went back to the docter and he prescriped me some tablets my the name PROVERA. within 3days of taking this tablets the period has stopped and am worried it might come back its possible to concieve pregnancy while i an in this conditon. any assistance given is higly appreciated.

ive been on the pill for over a year. i just started my next month of pills, a week into and ive began bleeding. a very dark brownish colour. why does this happen? i missed one pill but took it the next day, usually it takes more than one day of missing it to make anything happen....
I have been on the pill for over a year now, my period finished and then a few days later I began spotting with a dark brown type blood. This has lasted 3 weeks now. Could this be because my pill is no long strong enough or a more serious health issue?
im sorta experiencing the same thing but its like im on my period just spotting. i do forget to take my birthcontrol sometimes but i always catch up, the most ive missed is four days.. but im gaining so much weight, coming from a 4''9.. all my fat is going towards the middle of my stomache.. i took a pregnacy test an it came out negative..
PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!! i have been on the pill for about 4 years now, i am 19, and i have usually always had normal periods once i get on my sugar pills. but this month i had gotten my period a WEEK early. i begin taking my sugar pills tonight and im just worried that if i get off my period when im on my sugar pills and have unprotected sex i will get pregnant. i dont know why i got my period so early, is it stress??? have i been on the pill for too long? do you get immune to it and does it become less affective???
