I am 14 and my penis only mesuares 2.4 inches (flacid) I am worried I might have micropenis syndrome because I would have expected it to grow and then in puberty it would just be able to produce sperm that would be the only difference... Help Appreciated!

Hi again James,

2.4 flacid is fine.  Most measurements are made when erect as some guys are "showers" (show - hers) and others are "growers."

Your penis can grow until you're in your early 20's.  5-5 1/2" is normal for an ADULT male.

You don't have a micropenis.  That measurement is based on an erect penis.

Hope it helps.

Hi,
What is your erect penis size ? If it is less than 3.5 inches yes you probably have a micropenis since your penis should have started to develop..
If you do have a micro you should consult a DOCTOR RIGHT NOW as the testosterone treatment that will make your willie grow longer works only before puberty and since you are 14 it has probably already started !

yeah but errect it is over 3.5 inchs so does that data not mean that I don't have micropenis and that medic-dan is correct?

James, you don't have a micropenis. A micropenis is defined as smaller than 2" when erect. You're bigger than that flaccid.

You don't need testosterone treatment either. Wait for puberty to occur, be patient. It may not start until 15 in some boys and it is not a sign of any problem right now.

Your genitals, penis and testicles, will grow when you enter puberty.

Thanks you have seriously helped I was reading up on it and some people have tried to commit suicide due to it, so you have helped calm my nerves. You are right I need to wait for puberty and see what happens :)

Glad to help James.

Your body will make its own testosterone when you enter puberty. When that happens things will change.

Good luck!

well i suspect i am a late bloomer anyway as I haven't got many pubes or facial hair. So i think i will wait until I see some signs of puberty which are really prove i have started.

I am 13 just hitting puberty and I am 3.5 erect. I have some pubic hair but little to no armpit hair. Also, no major growth spurts or voice changes. Is this normal?

Yes guest, you're normal.

Things don't all happen at once they take time.

Hang in there.

I did a little research and saw that the original piece came in almost a decade ago, so the writer's penis should have long ago reached it's adult size, whatever that may be. So this is for those who see themselves in his inquiry.
Based on what I've seen online, a pre-puberlesent penis is 1-2". Two things about early puberty; A guy often doesn't realize it has begun to grow until he is about 3", and after he has grown some he doesn't realize how small it was before it started growing. You'd have to go looking at old nudist sights or a younger brother who doesn't mind being seen naked to get a handle on that. As a general rule, I consider 14 to be the age when you are all but full grown, so he was either a "late bloomer" or small. He made no mention of the other signs of puberty like pubic hair, penis thickness or pumping out sperm, so I am still asking, "late bloomer or small". I would also like to know about the size of his closest relatives who have fathered children. In another site, many of the men claimed a soft size of far less than 2.5 inches, so this could be a case of, "Sorry guy, but you're just small, BUT yours is still plenty big enough to do the job. Just don't spend too much time watching phonography that involves men. It will only demoralize you."
The writer also made some mention of the penis producing sperm. The penis doesn't produce sperm. It delivers it. The testicles produce sperm, then it is stored somewhere close by until the call goes out to fire a few rounds out through the penis.
