Unfortunately, I am having problems with my gall bladder. I have been experiencing some stomach, abdominal pain and decided to go for the ultrasound examination. It showed that I have gall bladder stones and the immediate therapy was recommended. The size of the stones is not alarming, so the surgery is not necessary at the moment. So, is gall bladder cancer risk increased because of the gall bladder stones?

Unfortunately, yes. But only in the case the stones are not dealt with. The changes might occur in the wall of the bladder and lead to the creation of the malignant cells. But, if you deal with it on time, the risk is greatly reduced, practically nullified. So, I don’t think you should be alarmed about that.
