Hello! I felt a sharp pain and burning sensation while releasing urine few days ago. I felt like I couldn’t keep the urine and then rush to the toilet and released very little urine. The pain in lower abdomen is still present although I have visited my doctor and he prescribed antibiotics. Yesterday I started to feel pain in my back and nausea as well. I am afraid this is something serious. Is nausea a symptom of UTI?

Hello! The symptoms you described are the most common symptoms of urinary tract infection which is the second the most common type of infection in our body. I practically don’t know anyone who didn’t have urinary infection at least once. The first symptoms you had were the symptoms of lower urinary tract infection. Symptoms as back pain, fever and nausea may occur when bacteria enters the ureters and spread to the kidneys. You should talk to your doctor about this.
