Hello everybody! I am looking for some info about tularemia infection - someone recently told me that tularemia is caused by some kind of contact with animals. Do you know what kind of contact, and which animals cause tularemia? It would be really great if someone can answer this question!

Several kinds of insects can cause tularemia, which is also sometimes referred to as "rabbit disease", because rabbits are also prone to tularemia. They are normally ticks, mozzies or some other kind of parasitic bugs, and tularemia is caused when an infected insect bites a person. Does that clear up your question?
