I had a rash under my breasts and between them. It was red and itchy, I took some over the counter allergy medication and put baby powder under my breasts and it cleared up. Try this it really helps, I had the itchy bumps for 2 miserable weeks and it went away after I did this.

I have just started tanning again and i have bumps on my chest as well and 1 or 2 on my shoulder/arm area.  My bumps are red around the outside and then white in the middle and some are just red.  They are all diff sizes.  Do you guys think that is from the heat?   HELP!!  Im really nervous.  I have the little red bumps in a patch that everyone is talking about near the left side of my collar bone.  The bumps do not itch...my skin itches because i got burned and now i am pealing.

Could these be bug bites?  Like bed bugs or spiders or something?  I have checked my entire place and taken all precautions, and don't see any bugs. I have a protective cover on my bed and i have tons of laundry dryer sheets in my couch (dryer sheets repeal bed bugs) and i do not see any dead or alive bugs.   Also i do not see 3 bumps in a row like bedbugs do, i only have 2 in a row.

HELP please!

A lot of this has nothing to do with sweat or unsanitary beds. I have gone to some salons and been fine, but break out after visiting others. I have an allergic reaction to the chemicals used to clean the beds at some locations. I keep a "tanning bag" like a beach bag. I use a small spray bottle of water and bring my own towel and simply wipe the bed down before I get in. This solves the problem almost every time. Otherwise, I will scratch and scratch until I have sores from itching so badly.

Also, a sign of allergic reaction is paying attention to the irritation. I noticed that I was only breaking out in areas where my skin had come in direct contact with the bed.

Okay so here's my thoughts....I used to fake n' bake all the time, I just recently started up again after 4yrs. I never had any skin irritations or any other issues with tanning. Since I started back up I began tanning only in stand up beds ( I used to do lay downs). I'm very dark and love my tan, but all of a sudden I've been breaking out with little red bumps with white blisters on the top of my feet. The whole sweat theory is out the window...I wear flip flops to and from tanning and I take a shower the second I get home from tanning. I also noticed a little patch on the inside of my knee, and in my cleavage. I don't have sensitive skin, so for this to happen to me.....it makes me wonder.

I just started tanning again after a year. I went 3 times. the other day I woke with 2 red dots on my stomach then the next day I had 10 itchy red dry dots.. Now 2 on my thigh.. This is from Tanning.. never got them before, but we change, or the bed is UVB and not UVA ...

i would say on the sweat subject, im not sure but with the beds being so hot you wouldnt know if you were sweating it would probally dry up or be reasorbed as one person said due to the heat before it would ever roll down your side laying or standing up.

Hi, I just started tanning, I haven't been there in years anyways. I went in the stand-up stalls & I got really burnt, I was only in there for about 8 minutes. The next day was pure heck. I woke up with my whole body swollen & it was seriously burned & I had the itchy red bumps all over. They itched so bad that I want to take a fork & scratch my skin so hard with it. Well that was on a Sunday & Monday was the next day. I just wanted to stay in for the day. Well that Saturday night came & I just couldn't take it NO more so I went into the E.R & the Dr said in was a interaction, he couldn't say from what, except from the tanning bed, but I used the stand up one. Ha ha ha. The place I went to had just opened up a week ago (Planet Fitness) SO!!!! ANYWAYS... I do believe that it's just probably a very painful & BAD heat rash, that's made me all swollen & very sick. I need some kinda relief from itching. The E.R. DR. said to take 2 benedryls every 4/6 hrs & never tan again!!!!! I was like ok. As long as I don't have to go through this again. Chell'e~

Hi, I recently rented a home sunbed & I too have been getting these itchy red lumps some are alot bigger than others, a few of the lumps I would say is the size of a 5 pence they are on my stomach, chest, back and legs , I am on tranquilizer medicine which would probably be the cause, when I was in my late teens / early 20s (still on the same medicine back then) I never had this problem, Why is this only happing now any ideas? Anyway I have anppointment with my GP today and I will wait and see what he advises me to do I will give an update here.

I don't believe the med's are causing the bumps, I do believe either one of two causes. One that it could be an allergy to that type of tanning bed or it's bumps from the bed not being cleaned properly. Skin changes as we age unfortunately and what we could handle in our teens and 20's as we age our body changes and cannot handle it the same anymore. Also, maybe you are spending too much time under the tanning bed? Not giving your body time to adapt to the lights and tan. Numerous things that it could be - post what your doctor says.

Hope this helps or gives you some ideas.
