trinaSame here mine started 2 summers ago at a pool not tanning bed i can sit in sun an get the red itchy bumps tht turn inti like blisters after scratching em an only on my arms chest back some on neck an sometimes on face an now i lay in tanning bed an after i ger out I'm itching an bumps spread bad an look like lil blisters after i scratch em it i don't scratch they look like bumps but once i scratch takes like a top layer off an makes like a sore sucks so i even try the stand up beds an same thing so not bed I'm starting to assume uv rays allergic reactions but i make it worse by scratching but my worse are my chest between boobs an belly even tho i don't lay on belly

Ive been tanning for years and a lot of my friends have had the same thing happen.I believe it is to much exposure being ours only happens during the beginning of tanning visits then goes away after about the first ten visits.Its very irritating and not so pretty.The only time it doesn't happen is when I tan in a weaker bed.The stronger the bulbs the more irritation.I guess its best to start out staying in only half the time but I always want my moneys worth

I have had the same issue after I tan. My tanning lady said it is common. Tips to help when tanning don't lay on stomach. Use the sanitary towel and place in over the chest when tanning. And ichying spray after. Also make sure u are using non scented lotion after tanning each time.

i tanned onced like last week for 10 minutes with just a face tanner and i have been getting these rashes/bumps that are extremley itchey ALL over my body, even in my lips, thighs, stomach, arms, hands, back! i am still getting them, infact i have a massive one inside my lips now. I red a sunbed booklet and it said if you have any bumps after using the bed to go see your doctor so im going to book an appointment. Anyone have any other suggestions?

I use to go to tanning bed for a long time but only during the spring to ge a base tan then i stop .but last year and this year i started getting red bumps on my legs and back little on my stomach is this something to worry about ?

You could have a vitamin d deficiency that happened to me after tanning I started taking vitamin d pills and haven't had the problem since ☺️Hope this helps

I think it is the cleaning solution...I started bringing baby wipes with me and wiping the bed down before I get in...it has fixed the problem

I use a stand up bed. I don't come in contact with anything that the cleaner would touch rather than the handles. I have tanned with and without lotion, I am not on birth control, and I used to mow cemeteries for 8 years, so I know it's not the sweat. I still get the bumps every time I tan. It itches like crazy!!! I just take a benedryl after I tan. In one of the previous comments, they mentioned showering after tanning. Well for best results, you must wait several hours after you tan before you shower or bathe. Just sayin'. Have a freat day!

Ok everyone, the secret is OVER EXPOSURE, YOUR SIMPLY GOING FOR TO LONG TOO FAST!! IF U START AT LIKE 5 MIN AN SLOWLY WORK UR WAY UP, U WON'T GET THIS RASH ANYMORE!!!! IT is a heat rash but the key is to not start out going for too long.

I just read at my tanning salon that people who take Benadryl can have this reaction as well as people that consume dill, mustard, celery, carrots, lime, coriander, parsley, and figs.... I'm guessing mine is the dill and mustard, and the fact that I took Benadryl for this reaction the first time I had it... ugh
