It seems to me if you prefer not to take the product, you just choose to not take it and that's that... It seems to me you are going quite overboard with your thoughts about Juice Plus+ and maybe the issue lays with your relationship with your mother and not with the Juice Plus+
I too have been taking Juice Plus+ for about 4 yrs. now and absolutely love the product! And yes, it has made a tremendous difference in mine and my husbands life... I won't bother you with the details, just know that most of the Juice Plus+ families that sell JP+, do so like myself because it has made a life difference in the life of them or a loved one and that is what has brought them to the business... I was on the product for 7 mo. and couldn't shut up about the way I felt... And that's when I decided to touch the lives of others... I work full time in a law school and am very level headed and have had years of experience in the health, nutrition and exercise field... Please try to be a little more open minded, after all it has been studied by Universities all over the world and has the science to back it! Double blind, gold stamp... It doesn't get any better...
Take a deep breath and try not to be so hard on the one's that know the benefits of JP+ and only want to share it with the ones they truly love~

My question is are you open minded? One of my best friends is a physician and I asked him to review the information that my mother had passed on to me. In his opinion most of the studies were questionable because they were presented as "abstracts", a process which doesn't entail any review by peers. Those studies which you claim are "double blind, gold stamp" as you state were for the most part inconclusive in their findings. Also interesting is that most of the studies are paid for by NSA or the company that manufactures the product. Granted many studies on products are paid for by the manufacturer especially in the area of pharmaceticals. I have seen a number of web sites, and no not just Stephen Barrett (the guy that all Juice Plus distributors are taught to look upon like Satan!), that question the research. That raises some questions to me? Doesn't it you?
Do I think Juice Plus is bad for you? NO! All I'm saying is that it's not the greatest thing since "sliced bread" and it doesn't cure cancer and the common cold. Looking at the high cost of the product (I know isn't your health worth the cost and this costs less than physicians bills in the future?) which is a result of the way the product is marketed (MLM) and combined with the inconclusiveness of the valid research, I chose not to purchase the product.
I don't think I have the zeal of dislike for Juice Plus like kraziiviolinist but based on your comments and your statement regarding my relationship with my mother, which you don't know about, I guess I was wrong.

You are all correct -- most of their "research", even that done at universities, is funded by themselves and done by researchers who also have a vested interest in showing that it has benefit. Their statistics are often flawed and the data is tweaked to fit the conclusions they desire. There are also many studies that show no benefit from Juice Plus. And you are correct in that it is pretty much impossible to find unbiased, real clinical research on this product. I am a health care professional who sells NOTHING and does not believe in profiting by fleecing my patients.

4 years ago our doctor suggested that we take the product. We did not. I thought it was a MLM scam and did not seperate the product from the business.
2 years ago we started taking Juice Plus+ and have had positive health results. (If it works or we just think it works really doesn't matter. The results did.)
Now I am investigating becoming a distributor based on our personal results.
The research shows both sides of the story, as with most products. Juice Plus+ currently has multiple studies underway.
My own research has been to see how many doctors I could find; on the internet that promote Juice Plus+ (Again, I was first exposed to the product by our doctor.)
In just an hour of internet research I was able to find OVER 40 doctors that take and recommend Juice Plus+ to their patients with good results.
There is an overwhelming support growing in the medical industry for this product. Prevention is just starting to become an accepted method as a precursor to Detection and Treatment. Juice Plus+ fits well in this shift because it is Whole Food Nutrition (However small or large the amount may be.)
It is wise to see the whole picture and realize who is against something and why.
Do your own research, make your own assessment and don't follow people who seem to have no expertise other than to be negative about something that they don't understand or have not tried.
It would be interesting to see what would happen if the slander of such a large group of professionals opinion were directly challenged?
I have been able to: Use the product with possitive results, research the product (Not all good, never is.) and view the high level of commitment to the product by a large group of medical professionals.
With all of this being weighed against MLM distribution focus it is easy to see how animosity for the MLM business can bleed over to the product....
Ask your Doctor, ask someone you trust that has taken the product for a sufficient time, take it yourself and make your own judgment.
We have done our research, and based on the whole picture, we will become a distributor for this product. Not to push it on anyone, but to let anyone who is exposed to the product, make their own determination. There are too many reputable doctors supporting this product for it to be a just a scam! (And Doctors make money on most of the products sold at thier practice)
If someone is on a vendetta against this product, I suggest contacting the doctors (They can easily be found on the internet) that promote the product; and argue with them... if you can...
A future Juice Plus+ Distributor by choice, make up your own mind and don’t be poisoned or poison others…

Whatever you do, do not let your dog eat both bottles in one day. I am so sad now that my dog is gone. I am currently in talks with my lawyer about how much of a settlement we should be pushing for. I think Juice Plus+ knows about the hazards to dogs and I think they will pay.
Please do not lash out against me. I have enough to worry about with my trip to the pet store this weekend. Wish me luck on my replacement pet!

Hey Congo Jim what is the answer? I bet you have a better one than taking Juice Plus. What product are you promoting? What does it matter if people take Juice Plus or not? What is your angle? If people do get help and feel better regardless if it's a pyrimd scam--so what. Hey people are feeling better. So what if the research is 50/50 for or against it. No matter what you say the poeple that give the product a chance and see the results will keep taking it. Your babbling is useless. Let's hear your story- did you ever take Juice Plus- was it bad? Do you yourself even know if it works? Tell the truth...is your mom a distributer that drove you crazy with her ranting about the product?
The “answer” is on the table but if it needs to be repeated, so be it -- Juice Plus is a scam; a very deceptively marketed product with little if any value, sold by a shady company at an insanely high price to support an inefficient and cult-like multilevel marketing network.
Consumer warnings against Juice Plus are rolling out monthly. Most recently, the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSIP) and KATU-TV in Seattle both issued negative reports on Juice Plus.

One of the many problems with Juice Plus is that pushy uneducated distributors are spamming the internet with misleading information, relentless sales pitches, inane stories about how it cures everything from the common cold to cancer, and blanket denunciations of anyone who criticizes the product. These are hallmarks of a snake oil scam. And trying to distract people from legitimate criticism of Juice Plus by calling it “useless babbling” is plainly dishonest.
I don’t have a problem with people taking Juice Plus per se. However, I do have a problem with people who lie and talk smack in their attempts to con people into buying Juice Plus. I also have a huge problem with the many dishonest distributors who are fraudulently promoting Juice Plus as a prenatal supplement and as a cure for cancer. There is a special level of hell for such ruthlessly exploitative people.
If I were promoting another product (and I’m obviously not), I would have promoted it already. It’s apparent that that this silly accusation is nothing more than a diversionary tactic; the last resort of someone who has absolutely no ability to defend Juice Plus against the unanimous criticism it has received from independent experts. There is a slew of products (made by various manufacturers) that are much better alternatives to Juice Plus. They cost a fraction of the price, list their ingredient amounts on the label, and they aren’t marketed by cheats and liars. If I thought the request for advice on alternative products was sincere, I might even offer a few suggestions, but it seems that it is coming from another irate Juice Plus distributor that doesn’t want to lose sales but who has nothing substantial to add to the discussion.
And let’s leave the moms out of this, shall we. That’s clearly just another lame diversionary tactic that desperate Juice Plus distributors are told to use when they run out of ammunition, and it’s another black mark against the product. Is it possible to sink any lower? Shameful!
