Esr levels 91 and back pain. Long story l was diagnosed with anklyosing spondilitis in 2001 the last year l have had many i infectikns.  In May l went to gp with upper left abdo pain etc had series of bloods, endoscopy ct of chest abdomen and pelvis, diagnosed chronic gastritis.  L still have the upper left abdompain, terrible low backmpain pressure across hips and pain at flank and ribs.  My esr is usually 35 due to AS but rose to 72, last week 81 and on Friday 91. The night sweats gp gave me hrt but not helping much, now hands and wrists ache. Getting worried protein urine test was ok, GP told me my platelet count had dropped to just on normal but l feel l am not getting anywhere.  Anyone have suggestions, the nurse at surgery told. E l may have myeloma...help
