Degreesnorth I was wondering if I would be able to use your daughters story in my school assignment? We had to pick a chromosome disorder and research about it and I have to talk about the emotional side of the disorder and with all the different possibilities that could happen with the disorder I thought it would help the other students understand what the disorder really was.
If not its ok i understand. But if you wouldnt mind please contact me.

I have my daughter 1 yr old, perfectly healthy. All milestones achieved, no concerns. She only seems a bit sensitive.

Hello, my 7 year old has triple x, she is absolutely fine. The teachers at school in fact tell me that she is of high intelligence. But as mums we worry don't we? For that is our JOB. At school on the odd here and there occasion when I cam able to , I pop in around lunch/play time to observe from a distance. The majority of the time she is playing on her own, ...she looks happy enough..but when I questioned her one day...she replied with words along this line...It's quite ok mum....I am used to spending time on my own...I just daydream a lot. I am used to being on my own.
Her voice echoes in my head and a tear rolls down my cheek....for this is not how primary school days are spent...or are they?

I have mosiac triple x but even more a rare karotype. My genetc makeup is 46xx, 47xxx, 48xxxx, 49xxxxx (94% of my cells are typical 46xx and the rest are a combination of the other). I was 26 y/o before I knew I had such a mixed up group of chromosomes and only tested after I suffered 2 early miscarriages. I went on to have 3 sons (I was 27, 31, 33) and 1 more m/c before calling it quits. All 3 were uneventful, normal births. I struggled with reading, comprehension, math, public speaking, shyness, social awkwardness, recurring UTI,s, and mood swings, (mainly during teenage years and was considered typical). I am average in height, average size head, I started my menstrual cycle at 12 was very regular. I had small B cup breast but so does a few aunts. I played sports went to college on a athletic scholarship. I have a BS degree and am a Registered Nurse. If I had not had a series of m/c I am certain I would never had known of my disorder.

I am sorry for my Enlgish, as I am portuguese native :). I was also shocked with the amnio results for Triple x Syndrome, but  I had a beautiful, healthy girl. She is 2 yrs old now,  all milestones on time, bilingual, no developmental or health issues, thank God. She is very social, although between 9-14 months she was scared of other kids; We started taking her to the park frequently, and she got over it. I am a Christian and always prayed for the 3rd chromossome to be inactive...so there we are :)

Hi, I am just researching this now, I have just found out I'm pregnant with a triple x baby girl. I was wondering where I could find any "good and informative" literature on it. Thanks.

My daughter was born when I was 45. I had an amniocentesis and learned she was triple X she is now 10. She is a beautiful, bright child. She is tall for her age with gorgeous long legs. A little trouble with being slower to ride a bike but if that’s her only problem, I am blessed. She tends to be double jointed. Most females out there have no idea they have it. Thete is also limited and some archaic information out there. Anyway, my daughter is a beautiful bright and healthy child.
