Thanks for this. This makes some sense to me. I’ve just started having this vibrating feeling myself but I’ve had lower back pain on and off for a few months and went to the doctors who told me that there was some signs of a fatty liver but nothing to worry about. I’m now wondering whether it’s somehow kidney related though. May have to go back and ask for more tests.

I have the same feeling. It’s like a buzzing, vibrating sensation. I’m going to see the urologist to figure it out. It’s super annoying and freaks me out. It feels as if it’s at the tip of the penis. Any urologists please help…..my general doctor thought it might be prostatitis and prescribed Cipro.

Same thing! It almost feels like I'm sitting on my phone on vibrate and it's ringing because it's not a constant vibration, it's a pulsing exactly like a phone, buzzzz buzzzz buzzzz, feels EXACTLY like I am sitting on a phone. And only in the tip, except if I pick it up the soft vibration actually goes more into the shaft!!!! SUPER STRANGE and somewhat concerning!

You have many nerves that run through penis , if your masturbating too hard it will eventually happen , when there is vibrations it’s always caused by nerve irritation. Not serious

Been dealing with this since November. I am also a fairly heavy alcohol/caffeine drinker and not a big water drinker, so gonna end up trying that. My urologist prescribed me cipro for prostatitis too. My GP no lie laughed at the issue and tried to tell me I had cysts and gave me a topical steroid. Going to be asking my urologist about Gabapentin to help with the nerve causing this until I can get enough lifestyle changes in place. I'm saving this link and I'll update if Gabapentin/lifestyle helps.

Stared experiencing this myself recently. Didn't figure it out for a while because I thought it was simply notifications from my phone. Well it looks like it's not a big deal and I'm guessing no on here died from it, so I'll wait it out to see what happens. I can say that there are some responses about weight training and protein drinks. I do NOT exercise that often nor take supplements so doubt that's it. I do enjoy my drink every night (not a lot, maybe one pour of scotch or bourbon) and coffee in the morning but that's been going on for years. So unless something builds up over time from too much bourbon or a cup of coffee in the AM then I'm at a loss as well. I'll eventually ask my doctor about it but going to give it a little while longer.

**DIAGNOSED**
So I found this thread a little while back as I was experiencing this myself. I looked through the 7 pages of 'it could be this' or 'could be that' but none of it applied to me. SO I WENT TO MY DOCTOR and wanted to update all you fellas on what I learned.
So first he walked into the office and said 'you've got me stumped! I've never had this come up.' So while somewhat alarming it was a little humerous as I doubt I had some super rare disease and was going to drop dead. But he did add 'I think I know what may be causing it.' Nerve damage. A form of neurpathy. It can happen a variety of ways. Maybe my special purpose bent a certain way, or got pulled, jerked off too hard or rough sex with someone.
By the time I got into see my doctor was I was NO LONGER experiencing the vibration. He asked when it started and it was right around Thanksgiving/early December (like many of you I thought it was my phone so I likely had it earlier but it didn't hurt, wasn't a violent vibration so meh...
He said it normally takes about 12 weeks for these things to heal, which pretty much matches up to the time it stopped. He said a more normal is in the thigh area (hence the phone vibrating sensation and placement), but I said nope, it's the tip of my penis.
He said if it comes back or continues to see him again and he would check my prostate (yes the finger exam). But since it's stopped and I get tested for prostate this year he didn't seem worried. But he got something new and I may have found the answer to help any of you who may stumble on this thread in the future.

This sounds reasonable. I have had a swollen prostate for a few months now, and the vibrating for a few days.

Happening to me this past day. It’s happened before but went away on it own and was infrequent. Now it’s constant and driving me insane. I lost my job and health benefits this week, so I wonder if it’s stress related? I can’t even go to a doctor now to get it checked. Going to cut caffeine out for a few days and drink a lot more water. See if it helps. :(
