That is a good idea, the stress test. I had that done & was relieved that there was no blockage. I have been diagnosed with atrial fib. I kept feeling my heart was racing. When I checked my blood pressure it was okay, but my heart rate was over 100, several times. I am now on a med for that. Very few people can tolerate this med, so I am very lucky to not have to have surgery for it. I still get lightheaded & I think I'll have my blood sugar tested, though I have several times & it is ok. Good luck

Amazing to see so many people having the same undiagnosed problem. I am an active 40 year old male in fit shape. I've been exercising (cycling) 3-4 times a week for approximately 9 years now. Two weeks ago, while eating pancakes I began to feel light headed, dizzy, faint, nausea, anxious, tingling sensation in my muscles. It gradually got worse and I felt I was going to die. I thought I was experiencing a stroke. I ended up in the ER and they found I had low potassium and low magnesium. EKG, Chest X-Ray, blood pressure, heart rate and further testing revealed I was in great shape with the exception of low electrolytes. They told me it was because I was dehydrated. Over the next few days my symptoms continued. For the first time in my life I began to have reoccuring episodes of anxiety and I couldn't sleep. It felt as though someone had turned a switch on in my central nervous system. My hearing and vision became very sensitive during my anxiety episodes which also included nausea, light headedness and faint. Two trips to my doctor revealed I no longer had any deficiencies and I showed no signs of any infections, yet my symptoms continued. A second trip to the ER revealed I was deficient in magnesium again and tested positive for H-Pylori (a bacteria in the stomach). The H-Pylori explained the nausea and bathroom issues I had been having which I thought was part of my IBS (irritable bowel syndrome), previously diagnosed. I began my 14 day antibiotic treatment for H-Pylori and cut Wheat, Gluten, Soy and dairy foods from my diet. After 2 days my anxiety episodes disappeared, I was able to sleep and my faint and dizzy episodes were less. I am still having dizzy and faint spells with a pressure type of headache and doctors do not know what is causing it. I had a bad dizzy and faint episode yesterday and I ended up in the ER for the third time. All tests revealed I was not deficient in anything and I was in great shape. I am still on my antibiotics and I am still having issues with my bowels. I pray that my dizzy and faint spells is a result of the bacteria in my stomach and nothing more serious. Note* It was explained the bacteria in my stomach is not allowing my body to properly extract the nutrients from the food resulting in nutritious deficiencies.

I know exactly what you are talking about. Its a dizzy fainting feeling. I have the same symptoms., I did blood work, and everything. I do have high blood pressure, but its under control. Its starting to scare me not knowing, cause I have been treated for everything, inner ear infection, anxiety, depression, you name it. Still nothing works. It is so frustrating.

Make sure your Iron and B12 blood tests are done to rule this out. The symptoms are the same. I get unexplained light-headedness and have done so for over 10 years now. But I also have been anaemic and found that the symptoms are very similar.....although much worse with Iron depleted levels.

I was experiencing same symptoms. I also could not figure it out. At one point I thought my car had a leak in the exhaust system and the Carbon monoxide was creeping within the cabin of the car. So I went out to Lowe's and purchased a battery operating Carbon Monoxide detector and placed it the back of the Car. It turned out , that I did not have CO in my car. Thank God! Now I could have peace of mind it was not my Car that was making me sink. Long story short, I found that my problem was OVERDOSING ON Caffeine, (Google Caffeine overdose side affects ). You will over dose if you are taking over 100 milligrams of caffeine a day... and if you are constantly drinking caffeine (Coffee, Colas, even some pain killers have caffeine --read labels)
I was drinking 3 ( 1 Litter of Coke) every day. Yes I was addicted... But since I have given up Caffeine -- I am okay now. Look up best way to wean yourself off Caffeine, to decide what method is best for you. Yes, the culprit was Caffeine in my case. Hope this help you or someone reading this.

Thanks for that info.....certainly worth a try to give caffeine up for a bit.........

Just a thought, but have you been tested for Coeliac disease. I have that and had similar problems with bowels, and faint spells. With Coeliac disease you won't be able to get nutrients from your food. Once diagnosed by endoscopy, I could eliminate gluten and therefore get better.

I to have this same problem but I actually did pass out before. I woke up to my wife trying to stuff sugar stuff in my mouth until I told her it wasn't my diabetes. I have what the dr's call a rare heart condition, the first heart surgeon I went to wouldn't even do the operation he said it was to risky and that I wouldn't probably make it off the operation table. The second dr. did do the operation and apparently he didn't scrape enough of my sack off my heart. I have what's called paracarditice where the sack around your heart dries up to your heart and doesn't let it pump right. It won't let the heart pump enough to go to my lungs so I get short breathed when trying to do something. I'm just wandering if it has something to do with my heart or something else!!
