You need to get off the psychiatric drugs to start with. Take a good calcium magnesium supplement. Those drugs will not cure you and may make you worse. Stop drinking caffeine if you are doing that right now and that means anything with caffeine or stimulant. That could be setting it off. Find yourself a doctor who also does naturopathy and who does believe in alternative medicine as well as being a regular doctor. A D.O. is a good choice as they look at the whole body and not just trying to handle the symptoms. Have you checked for thyroid or adrenal issues?

Most doctors don't check for parasites which can wreak havoc in your body and produce toxins that go everywhere in the body. I am struggling with that issue right now and it is hell. But the standard stool test they give you is a waste of time. You need a lab that specializes in that type of thing which usually means you collect the stool over 3 days. I believe the Great Smokey Mountain Lab is a good one. It is costly, but so is your health.

Mucus in the head, I know it sounds weird but I wrote a few pages ago and am trying acupuncture  My 2nd treatment the person working on me stuck me in the legs and said it was to open up any mucus that might be in my head and not able to get out which could cause my fuzzy thinking and dizziness  I am also right now in the middle of a head cold so my nose is running and I am feeling ok except for the crappy feeling of being sick. I wonder if mucus could be stuck in our heads causing us to feel this way. I suggested going to groupon and buying a 3 treatment of acupuncture and telling them how you fell and mention the mucus thing and having treatment done on the leg for this, I'm sure they will know what you mean. I did a search on mucus being stuck in the head which was pretty interesting. Hope this info helps, I want all of us to feel better.

Wow, lots of folks having the same issue with no answer sucks.  I have the same problem from time to time, including now, and its the not knowing that is frustrating.  I found out I was dehydrated once, about 5 years ago and it has kind of stuck with me ever since.  Worst feeling I ever had, the overwhelming dread and fear, dizziness, confusion and anxiety.  Went to a few doctors, got blood work but no problems or answers.  Said maybe it was a stomach issue and prescribed something similar to prilosec.  The main thing I think it is, as many on here have stated, is the compound effect of being stressed and the symptoms come on and then it just snowballs from there.  Just know that whatever brought it on will eventually get better and go away, hopefully sooner than later.  It's all in our head, right?  Good luck all.

I have dizzy spells almost everyday, Watching traffic go by or watch credits roll on the TV screen puts my head spinning. Most of the time I feel like I am on a rocking boat and want to vomit and shiver like I'm cold. Sometimes my vision is effected and will "shimmer" or I see stars. This is not anxiety. After many years of Dr visits and tests of all sorts (including the "dizzy" clinic) they have found that I suffer from Migraine associated vertigo. Unfortunately, this type of migraine is not associated with pain but dizziness, so migrane meds won't help b/c they battle pain only. I was told to  change my diet to exclude chocolate, red wine, aged cheeses (feta, parmesan etc) I have and have seen little change. I think this is something I'll just have to suffer through. It makes driving hard when you can't pull over if you feel too dizzy to keep driving.

I developed bouts of vertigo some time ago and had every test known to man as well. The doctor said something like non specific inner or middle ear condition, could be from scar tissue or from having a lot of earaches as a child. It drove me crazy and I felt just like you do with turning from side to side in bed and watching movie credits or fast action on screen. I think yours will dwindle with a bit of time. I know I feel fluid in my ear from time to time, but it seems to conveniently disappear when doctors look inside the ear. Something is causing those migraines and somehow you need to get at the bottom of that. I really recommend a doctor who is also a naturopath or a doctor of osteopathy aka a D.O. Migraines could be allergy related so you could go that route. I think you need a really good doctor who is willing to go more extensive on the medical testing and not just the standard blood panels. You may want to look into some alternative medicine doctors who use labs that do more than just blood testing. I know how desperate you must feel. So did I. If you find a good way of eating, you need to stick with it for a while as it will take the body time to heal. Again, something is causing the migraine condition. You just don't have the right solution for it yet, but keep going. It will get better.

ok, so I have posted here a few times talking about acupuncture and mucus. I am now trying a high dose of B12 METHYLCOBALAMIN 5000mcg HIGH ABSORPTION VITAMIN B12 5mg. I was doing some reading and I see a lot of talk about the white half moons that should be under your finger nails. I only have moons under my thumbs and it says these are the last to go and could be a lack of B12. I have looked at a few other peoples nails and I still have not found anybody that has moons on all of their nails so I don't know how try this is but there are many articles on the internet about it. If you go to amazon you can find this B12 and many people reviewed it in a positive way. I bought some at the drug store. They have a few versions of B12 so make sure you get the one that is Methylcobalamin. It's not expensive and worth a try. I also read the symptoms of lack of B12 and we seem to have most of them.

I am very sorry for all who suffer from this, I was cleaning the bathtub today and felt very light headed, my eyes got blurred and I felt pressure in my head like i was gonna pass out and my ears started to ring. I have vertigo and I have severe panic disorder and anxiety disorder, I take a med called vertigo heel and I take buspar for my anxiety. I get dizzy spells all the time and have not felt normal in two years. I always feel like I have diabetes symptoms but I have been checked for everything under the sun, back when docs were trying to figure out what was wrong with me i felt like a science experiment. I try to drink water all the time, found out that the color of your urine can tell you a lot, if you are dehydrated your urine will have a dark color to it, always make sure you have clear to light yellow urine that means you are well hydrated, if you have a bright yellow urine or sweet smelling urine you may want to get checked for diabetes. Otherwise the symptoms that I have are always related to my anxiety, panic disorder and vertigo. I hope this helps some of you. but always see your doctor for any concerns you may have thats what they are there for.

I just had this yesterday for the first time in my life. I suddenly got dizzy and couldn't maintain balance. I ended up going to the doctor but after a quick exam he suggested I go to the emergency room because it was probably something in my brain, which I did. While in the waiting room it cleared up, though the span of when it started and when I was in the waiting room was 2 hours. After getting a full exam with blood, urine, heart test, and a CAT scan, they determined everything was fine I got no answer from them when they let me go. After doing research on the internet and reading some of these though, I'm thinking it was either because of dehydration or hypoglycemia because I started feeling similar to yesterday this afternoon so I quickly started drinking and eating, after which I felt much better. If it happens again then I'll ask the doctor again.

this is all very well when dizziness caused by anxiety.however this is insulting to someone who cant engage properly in everyday activity. If you have chronic fatigue for example, this gives no choice but to limit normal activity, and is not neccessarily linked to anxiety as such. When you try to do things like exercise that makes you ill then you are in a true catch 22, Also if you are given anti depressants that fog your mind or slow you down even further, how is this helping you change anything. If what goes wrong might i ask?? Everything is wrong if you cant focus on anthing due to brain fog ADD caused by condition.Gross simplification, yet this post gets 50 likes.go figure.....
