8 months after total hip replacement, left, I am still limping and must use a cane to walk for even a short distance. I have had 4 months of therapy. An EMG shows radiculitis from L-5 on both sides, more pronounced on the left. I have had three epidural injections with no effect. I do have spinal stenosis and have experienced low back pain for 8 years. Prior to the hip replacement there was limited limping due to hip pain and buckling of the joint. However, the limp is much more pronounced now and is constant. I have been told to consider back sugery. Would this solve the limping?
