Yes, I've been having issues for 5 years. We trial and error several diets geared towards other issues had all sorts of tests...seen by 2 different PCPs two different gastro doctors finally the last PCP had me do the pifida test showing 13% function. You don't want to know the discomfort and money I've spent the last 5 years without an answer lol.

Its your gallbladder, I just had the hida scan and it came back disfunctioning gallbladder, the ejection fraction was low 12%, normal is 35%-75%. all info I have read and spoke to doctors basically state stop with high fats, gallbladder makes the bile to burn the fat and if its not working that fat will store and get trap or store fat could end up with stones. good luck!

Hi. I had Acute cholecystitis (inflammation and infection of gallbladder due to stone obstructing duct) about 5 months ago ( July 2017). Spent 5 days in hospital on anti biotics. Had 4-5 painful episodes during the 6 months before. Have done a couple of Ultrasounds since and it appear gall bladder is inactive now and stones smaller. There has been some bloating and stomach gurgling during the 3-4 months after attack .
Things have settled now and as long as i don't eat too much the bloating discomfort doesn't occur too much. I din't really want to , however I had booked surgery on Jan 4th 2018. I don't know what if any significant risks there are of leaving the gallbladder in.
As it's inactive, and no pain , why does it need removing? Any one suffered similar thing and not removed gallbladder? How long has it been that you have been generally okay now (even though Gbladder might not be active much).

Hopefully you’ve already had a colonoscopy and an abdominal scan and an upper endoscopy

I am wondering if having my gall bladder working at 30% (HIDA test results) and having Gilbert's Syndrome could be the reason my blood test show elevated gammaGT liver enzymes? And what to do in that case?

I have a dysfunctional gallbladder as well. I had the ultrasound & the HIDA scan. It showed my ejection fraction is 7%. I belch & feel bloated and right upper pain & though my back & shoulder. I hurt if I eat or not. I hurt even after water! Miserable. I had to reschedule a total knee replacement because of this.
