i have been gettin this feeling and it is identical to a baby moving. i can see it, and my friend saw it and felt it last night. i did a pregnancy test yesterday - negative - i have a coil so didnt think it could be a baby! i have a drs appointment tomorrow and expect he will say its wind but i know its not! its been happening for a week, with the same regularity of a baby moving and always in the same place just above the pubic bone. im glad its not just me who has this anyway. %-)

It catches me off guard and I think 'theres the ba.. nope. Im not pregnant' Im going insane here!

I'm having the strangest fluttering in my lower abdomen for a week and my blood pressure is through the roof...150 /100. I'm 39. I don't have gas and my breasts aren't swollen. My last period was 1 week early. I don't know what is wrong with me. Could I be pregnant?

Hi! I know what everyone's feeling. I've been having the same thing happening to me.I also though that maybe I was pregnant but I had my tubes tied 12 yrs ago. I went to the doctor and he said it could be a number of things...ex: stress, ulcers, fibroids, lack of potassium,IBS.etc. I'm currently on meds for IBS but he also wants me to see a GI(Gastro Intestinal) Specialist. If it's lack of potassium, drink lots of Gaotrade and maybe try bananas. I'll keep in touch and let you know what I find out.

Relax guys! I've had this too and i know it feels just like a baby kicking. It's so convincing. It's nearly impossible to believe that it's your own body making these very strong and seemingly deliberate involuntary movements, however you all have had a twitch in the eye? It's set off by an irritated nerve. Now think of how strong your bowel muscles are to do what they do. Its what they do. They move involuntarily whithout you even being aware of it - usually. And when they are irritated (you won't necessarily be aware of this), the nerves that make these muscles work can cause them to have a powerful spasm just like a twitch in your eye but big, sudden, powerful, and completely involuntary, and because its a whole muscle jumping it feels just like the baby thats kicking in my belly right now. Think of how an electric shock affects a muscle. Its the same thing. A glitch in the electrical current that is carried by our nerves to our muscles etc lets out a sudden bolt of energy, making a fairly strong muscle, have a pretty good spasm. We can't feel these muscles as we do our outer muscles, so it feels like it's not a part of us. Well for the guys that get this, they can honestly say they know what it feels like to have a baby kicking inside them. Unfortunately, just like you can't fix a twitch in the eye, neither can you fix this, however, pay better attention to your diet and whatever else may be affecting your nervous system and digestive system and you might find something you could change to benefit these systems and calm them down. Maybe even some relaxation.

To all the alien worm host victims... XD

I'd say what you all describe sounds like a symptom that might be associated with IBS.

Changing your diet, drinking less coffee and/or less caffeine is probably your cure. Put down the diet coke and drink some water...

26 year old MALE here. Having the same symptoms. I've been 'somewhat' diagnosed by my doctor as having IBS. I've had bowel issues for months now but this bubbling sensation is new.

I will be going on a diet change soon just to experiment and will let you know if anything changes. My doc has suggested cutting milk, caffeine and fatty/oily foods (All the good stuff basically!) from my diet and having a bowl of bran with hot water every morning. Sounds pretty Spartan but I'm willing to try anything at this point!!

Another suggestion was cutting all types of bread out of the diet as it might be something to do with a reaction to Gluten.

Alien babies suck! 8-|

I have read what everyone has to say. I am 29 and I had my tubes tied, burned what have you almost two months after my last child was born which has now been almost two years ago. I have been experiencing flutter like movment in my stomach like a baby moving or bubbles also. Aside from that I have been experiencing PAIN in my stomach / pelvic area I mean it has made me double over a few times. Today for instance it was hard for me to bend over or walk, heck the only time I wasent in pain was when I was sitting down. It isnt regular so that is why I haven't seeked any adivce until now. On top of all that I have experienced a weird (I know this is gross) stringy, clumpy discharge and once in awhile my period flow will be almost like watered down ...WEIRD. I have been check and have never had nor have an STD or ovarian/ uterin cancer. Hell I am almost 30 could it be menopause?? I have been getting really bad hot flash's since I was pregnant with my first born. If anyone has any advice please e-mail me at --> _[removed]_ (Subject: Problems) thanks everyone.
Much lov-

I just had a child about 6 months ago, so I know what that 'kicking' sensation is like. As soon as I was able to, I got an IUD after I had my son. About a month ago, I began to feel that same kicking sensation, and I was so freaked out by it (even though there is a 99.9% chance that I can't get pregnant) I went out and bought 2 pregnancy tests. Both negative...soon after, the odd feeling went away. But just last week it came back. Once again I freaked out, and $20.00 later, another 2 negative pregnancy tests. My IUD won't alter a pregnancy test, and I'm not on any medications.

The only thing I can think of is to go to the doctor and take some blood tests. And I think everyone with this feeling agrees it's not gas. But worms? I'm not sure if I'd rather have worms or go through the pain of child birth and morning sickness again... :?

Now every time I get that 'kicking' feeling I freak out thinking that I have a million worms in me feeding off my lunch and God knows what else...PLEASE if anyone gets an actual diagnosis, let me know!

Hi All, I know what you all are saying and most of you could be speaking for me. I read one of the posts about wheat and I wanted to cry. This sounds like a wheat allergy, Have any of you been told you have, IBS, athsma, sinus infections, infertility. All these or alsosigns of a wheat allergy. It has a name. It is called celiac sprue. Your doctor can do a blood test for it, but you will have to ask for it. They will also, most likely what to do an upper GI. All a painnint he neck but it would help you know. If you take all wheaT AND WHEAT BY PRODUCTS OUT OF YOUR DIET FOR ABOUT 6 WEEKS you might feel better. I know about all of this becouse my mother has this allergy and I had tested positive for it in my blood but did nothing about it. I am now going to stop eating the bad stuff and I will keep you posted.

HEllo Everyone, I am a
25 yr old male with this problem. I too have movement in my intestines and I've had it for about ......5 years now. Ive gotten a colonoscopy, endoscopy, bloodwork & urine samples for any stds, with negative results. Kidney stones, bladder infections, hernia...nothing nothing nothing. Initially I thought I was crazy; It made me despressed and tired.......VERY VERY tired. I think I slept 12-13 hours per day and still remained very tired throughout the day. I saw many psychologists who diagnosed me for depression; which I later discovered I was depressed because I didn't feel well but did not know it at the time. Once I discovered depression drugs made me moody and the situation overall worse, I decided to tackle the physical problem. I saw many doctors in five years..here are the important ones:

My primary doctor: prescribed me nexium for the heartburn; it worked excellent for the heartburn and the rawness feel in my stomache but I still had the nasty movements.

My first gastroentrologist whom I went to for a colonoscopy almost dismissed me and didn't seem like he wanted to do a colonoscopy because I "looked like a healthy young man" . I had it done anyway and it was negative for polyps etc... He told me to try fiber-con for constipation.

My second gastro enterelogist: Did my upper-endoscopy and was negative for anything; I told him about my previous history and he prescriped me with:

a) Protonix as a Nexium alternative and

b) Dicyclomine as an alternative to Fibercon to treat my IBS that my first gastroentrologist diagnosed me with.

I wasn't sure if it really worked....but

One day .I decied to combine protonix and fibercon; I think I might have ran out of Dicyclomine and I figured it's made out of wheat, why not.

IT works really well for me. For some weird reason Protonix + fibercon; give me the feeling of no obstruction in my intestines. My intestinal movement is very minimal. Because of this I get less anxious and therefor less panic attacks. I can manage it to a very good extent. my journey to find out how to fix myself is ongoing...... Im getting the wheat allergy test done soon, Ill keeop you guys posted.
