HI! Did you ever find out what the issue was? I have the exact same thing as you.

I had same issue. Crushing pain just before and during orgasm, in my lower left pelvic area. I had a C-Section also.
Doctors checked with ultrasound, CT/MRI scans and found nothing.
This went on for SEVEN YEARS!
I had OB-GYNs tell me that I just needed a hysterectomy, or that they had never heard of anything like this. Some even jumped to the contusion that I must have some kind of STD! Of course, all that testing was negative.
Finally, a uro-gynecologist agreed to go in and look. He found that my C-section scar had herniated. There were adhesions running from my bladder and uterus to the hernia and then connected to my left hip. No wonder orgasms were so painful! Every time the orgasm would start, the adhesions would pull on the herni and my left hip.
**they think that the reason previous doctors could not see the hernia is because the scans were done while I was lying on my back. The hernia would have looked "closed." The only way they would have seen it was if I had the scan in a position that would have opened the her is up.

I had hernia repair surgery in 2007. It was amazing AND very vindicating. To know I had been right. There was an actual physical problem!
Orgasms no longer hurt and neither does jogging, etc.

Dear Guest- I am no doctor but suffering for problems in the last three years and seen all kinds of doctors, had all kinds of procedures. The one thing I learned is doctors don't know everything, i'm beginner to wonder what they do know. Although I read Dr. Tariq's response, I can't say that helped explain your issue. I finally saw an OBGYN that I am proud to say paid attention in her classes. I kept telling them I had Endometriosis. I researched it myself when I kept getting wrong answers. the symptoms were what I was experiencing. To get to a diagnoses, doctors should be asking you more questions. Are you frequently constipated? are you on current medications? do you experience pain while having a bowel movement? Do you have pain about a week prior to your menstrual cycle? Are your cycles heavy flow? During this time are you extremely tired, low energy? I did not notice problems with pain during orgasm until the Endometriosis issues. If you answered yes to these questions then you probably have Endometriosis. The only way to find out is to get a pelvic internal and external ultrasound and then I recommend on that finding to consider a Hysteroscopy/fractional dnc which helped me, and then finally a Laproscopy which ultimately can fix the Endometriosis temporarily. Yes Endometriosis can come back and possibly will unless you are close to menopause. If you can I would consider hysterectomy if this is your diagnoses. my orgasms got better after I did all the above, but only lasted about four months. The pain just recently came back again during my orgasms. it is a very sharp pain and I have it in the lower pelvic region and is near the ovary. I can have the pain on either side and both are the same type of pain. It lasts for a few seconds and almost makes the orgasm not worth it. I wonder too if you have bladder urgency and frequency. This too is a symptom. I was told that I have too much hormone being released from my ovary. I was told I have left ovarian vein syndrome but the radiologist and the OBGYN disagree and give conflicting info. Hope you get answers. and that this was helpful.

I had a uterine biopsy and after that I now have intense pain in my left ovary right before and during orgasm. My right ovary was removed because of a nine cm. cyst after causing tremendous pain, so I know where my ovaries are, and it is definitely my left ovary. I know that adhesions can happen during surgical procedures, and my uterus was tipped back and had to be forcibly pulled forward with a clamp, so I am wondering if somehow my ovary is adhered to my uterus so that when the muscles contract during orgasm it pulls and hurts. I have already been diagnosed with cysts on the left side too. I thought I was alone, but several sites discuss this issue. I know one woman recommended
rolling on a rubber ball on the abdomen area and pubic and hip bones--gently- to break up the adhesions. I haven't tried this yet.

I had this about a month ago. They told me it was diverticulitis. Make sure they do a CT with contrast to confirm diagnosis before you take flagyl. They didn't for me and it wound up being a really really severe stomach virus. And the flagyl made me worse. Good luck

WELL...All these posts are interesting and a hysterectemy doesn't seem to be the answer for me since I'm a 68 year old MALE with the same problem! I'm glad it seems not to be too serious so I'll restfully continue to search for the exact answer. Thanks.

I'm looking on this forum as I have stabbing pain during orgasm. Last year I was diagnosed with Endometriosis and had keyhole for it to be removed. Most of the posts on here sound like typical Endometriosis and it's so common. 1 in 10 suffer! I had deep pain during sex as one of my main symptoms leading to diagnosis.. But it is possible that this stabbing pain during orgasm could be endo tissue regrowing on scar tissue / around my pelvic cavity. There was another lady above that mentioned endo like it was treated and gone. It can't be cured, it will grow back.. It just depends how quickly. I'm on depo so everything is in shut down.. I'm just hoping it is that and not an ovarian cyst. I might try having the two week orgasm ban though! I am in England so have free healthcare, if I get answers then I'll be sure to come back to this forum and share!

You need to get checked for Appendicitis just in case. The symptoms of appendicitis are pains in the right lower abdomin and nausea. And the muscles contracting during an orgasm can cause the pains too.

Ive been married for years and sometimes have pain in one ovary after strong, multiple orgasms. Doctors know nothing about this unless one has a medical problem.. I have no cysts, NOTHING wrong with me. Perfect health.
I think its hormonal and common in women with a good sex life and strong orgasms. My husband has a large penis too, thought it was that. Massaging area helps me, ibuprofene before sex romp. Relax, hot bath.

My goodness, I am do sorry what you sent through! I think if they check you out at the GNY and they don't see anything wrong, then it's definitely you large intestines, and maybe your small intestines. It seems like inflammation and maybe internal hemmroids. Which is completely curable with small dietary changes and adding probiotics, fish oils, glutamine powder all good potent brands. I'm a patient advocate and I can't believe what I have heard on this post. I am truly sorry for you guys who went through the surgeries and are still in pain.

My wife suddenly developed the same pains, spasms with orgasm during oral sex. Started a couple months ago and occurs every time since then. She no longer wants to have oral sex. She is 50 years old and has had a hysterectomy some 12 years ago so I know the pain IS NOT uterine contractions. So if you GYN recommends a Hyster, don't do it unless there is another problem that requires that surgery. By the way, I am a physician and I think it is horrible that no one knows why people are having the same problem. So much for modern medicine. She is chronically constipated (I believe someone suggested magnesium). We are going to do an experiment. She needs a colonoscopy screen just because of her age so she will need to do a major clean out. We plan on trying oral sex once she is cleaned out and see if the constipation is a cause. She takes all sorts of antioxidant supplements and fish oil and krill oil and they are not helping prevent the pain. Good luck to all of you. I'll reply with results.
