I fell about a week ago into a handrail on my left side right under my ribs. The fall was hard enough to cut my skin open. I properly cleaned the area. About 3 days later I was vomiting and my bowel looked like oil. The next day my bowel were normal but it now burns a little while I urinate and urinate very frequent. I now have a lump under my skin at the location of the fall(left lower abdomen). I have now been getting sharp pains from my abdomen through my lower back. I have not noticed any blood anywhere and have a good appetite. I have scheduled an appointment but due to my doctor being packed it will be a few more weeks tell i can get in. Does anyone think this is a potential medical emergency, warranting a trip to the ER? I still am able to work and the pain is tolerable. I just am a little worried about a potential serious situation happening prior to my appointment. Thanks for any advice/guidance. Also, I would assume that these things are not related but my ear drums feel like they are swollen pretty bad, it feel like a bad case of swimmers ear and I have a sore throat. Thanks again!!!!! Keep in mind I have been sick for about 6 months prior with an illness that has not been found yet!!!!!!

I have been a little confused and blah since this situation!!!!!
When you injured yourself, you gotten urinary tract infection - you will need to see a doctor to get the antibiotics that will treat it. Lump you described is swollen lymph node that is reaction to the infection - lymph nodes are like reservoirs for immune system when it is fighting an infection - they collect the bacteria that is causing the infection, but sometimes they can get infected themselves. So, since you already have an appointment scheduled, unless the pain gets any worse or if any other new system occurs - visit the ER.
