I'm so thankful, to have found everyone discussing this, I honestly thought I was alone.  I to have been having lower right abdominal  pain for about 8 months now.  I'm 34 and had a complete hysterectomy 1 1/2 yrs ago, the discomfort is somewhat similar to that, however, gets worse the more active I am throughout the day.  I finally went to the doctor to see what was going on, I had sonogram and I was told my ovaries look wonderful and everything looked fine.  I honestly feel like I'm crazy, I know the discomfort I feel everyday, which is getting worse but tests all come back fine.  I don't know what I should do/or try next, I know I don't want to go through tons of tests only to be made to feel crazy:-/.  Look forward to any help or direction I any advice.  Good luck to everyone and thank you!!

hello :) I have the same symptoms. I have to agree with an earlier posts about adhesions. I have had had quite a few abdominal surgeries several due to adhesions. They can cause severe pain and go unnoticed by scans..some have more severe adhesions than others..but seriously can really mess up your health. Most doctors I have come across are not excited to talk about adhesions..they r difficult.. one doctor I had told me on a scale between 9 and 10 for difficult surgeries mine was at least a 9. Once you have surgery to remove them they start growing back. There is a lot of different things that this pain could be. Kidneys, gallbladder, pancreas you name it...infection is also something that can sneak by on occasion. I think that doctors don't always have an answer when the tests come back okay...don't give up..find a doctor that will listen, also change your diet. and see what works..aspartane and artificial sweetners make me very sick.. I am not in the health care business but I am a constant patient, it is hard to be in pain and not know.. but don't give up...:)..

Ok, well I am also aplying to the lower right abdominal pain and lower back problems. I found these story while I was hunting for an answer to what I'm dealing with. Today has been worse then most. I have a lot of pain during the night while I sleep with sharp paing in my abdominal. When I wake up in the morning its hard to breath deeply because of the sharp pains. It usually goes away after about 30 minutes. This morning it hasn't went away. It hurts to set. And my lower abdominal hurts badly. If it percedes I will go to the emergency room.

I've been having this problem for the past few nights. I'm really sensitive to pain, and this is getting unbearable, which is leading me to believe there's a bigger problem at hand. It seems to happen to me in the middle of the night, after laying down for a few hours. Although with my pain it's hard to breath in, when I yawn or just breath normally my lower rib cage hurts as though it's sore. My mother said it was probably moving around furniture, however I never lifted anything heavier than 10/15lbs. If you guys know anything about what I should do, since I stumbled upon this post, it seems to me we are in the same boat.

After reading this I wanted to know if anyone here experiencing similar pains has Celiac or has read about it? I have had similar problems for over a week - pain in side that has left me in tears, nausea, exhaustion. Ultrasound showed small stones but not much else. A friend told me to go gluten free and see if the pain gets better...2 days and its almost gone. I have been doing some reading and just wondered if anyone has researched the issues that gluten can cause, I have quite a few. I went gluten free a few years ago for a diet and really tried to eat very little of it for the last 4 years; just recently started eating anything and everything. Just a thought for all of you suffering without results and I am hoping that its relieves my pains!

I have been going thru this same thing for 7 yrs now, I have had numerous ultrasounds, transvaginal ones too, plus too Many urine test to count...all with no luck. The only thing they could tell me was that I had slightly inflamed organs and there was nothing they could do for it. I recently had surgery to remove tumors from my uterous and thought maybe that was the problem, but today the pain is back! Just wish we could figure something out as this is getting old, and I feel like the doctors think I'm crazy sometimes because "they can't find anything" good luck to everyone, hope we all get some relief!!

Hi, I been having this same pain you all described (lower right side of my abdomen and some kind of reflexive pain that goes to my lower back side close to where my kidneys should be).

I have had this pain for more than 10 years. I am a male, 38 yrs old.

Had a fat liver disease and had to go through a diet and exercise to clean it. But the pain didn't subside. I had cat scans, MRIs, doctors thought of prostate, kidney stones, gallbladder stones, and so on, so forth.

They didn't find anything. No stones, no cysts, nothing.

So, after 10 years with this "ghost" pain making me lose so much precious working time (I am a computer programmer so I pretty much spend 12 to 14 hours a day sitting), I finally found a doctor, a pain specialist, in the local state college.

He told me I have costochondritis on my lowest rib, right side. I been taking pain medicine since, and pain doesn't bother me that much anymore (still happens when I have to sit for more than 14 or 15 hours straight, but is not that bad anymore).

costochondritis is hard to identify as most of the doctors can't find it because they just don't take it in consideration for their diagnoses.

Ask your doctors about it. Pain medication can really help to not get that pain anymore.

Have them look for Bladder Cancer. There is a special x-ray used for this to detect it.
