Hi,
I had very similar symptoms: pain in the lower right quadrant, right hip and the right kidney area. Pain in worse when sitting or Standing for long period of times. I thought it was something really bad or kidney stones I also thought it the psoas muscle As the pain gets really bad when I am driving and using my right leg to drive.
I was sent for ultrasound which was fine, blood tests were fine. I self referred for private MRI, I had it yesterday and today I received the report to share with you.
I was told I have “prominent venous vasculature in the pelvis”. Radiologist thinks I have “Possible pelvic congestion syndrome”.
It can affair the both women and men and it is basically varicose veins in the abdomen:,weak veins not able to return blood to heart effectively.
I hope this information helps someone.

I’ve been suffering from right sided pain a little over a week with little to no relief from pain meds. I have been on all the medical sites and I’m in the dark as to the cause. I have no other symptoms. At times it is severe and I am almost doubled over in pain but other times it is bearable. It’s worse when sitting, it radiates to my back and also to my stomach recently. It’s a weird type of pain that almost feels like something is pushing up under my ribs. It has been constant for over a week and I am finally relenting and seeing a doctor tomorrow. I’m 51, quite active and my only surgery was a C-section 26 years ago followed by two additional vaginal births. I haven’t had a period in over 5 years and noticed a trace of blood in my urine tonight so not sure what’s up with that or if it’s related but it’s time to get some answers. Hope everyone else is doing better and getting answers.

I'm dealing with this too.  50 yr old female.  Went to doc last week because of right pain.  Started in back by kidney but in the morning it was lower right.  Doc said kidney stones but I just have this gut feeling it isn't.  Uncomfortable when I'm sitting today.  I work at a desk so I am sitting a lot.  Blood and urine tests were fine.  I just worry and want answers.  I'm good about drinking water.  Not overweight but could lose a few pounds.  It's more of a ache then pain.  Feel it sometime up my back and down to butt all on the right side.

Glad to read I'm not alone!

I too have this pain. For it to go away i have to rest in bed for a while and it gets better. And I do think it might be surgery related. I gad my gallbladder removed years ago. And i had kidney stones a year or so ago but that pain was very different from this dull achy pain in my back and stomach.

I went 3 months with the pain before going to a fourth doctor who discovered a 1 cm size cyst on my ovary. He said it couldn't be the cause of my pain, but I still went under the knife to have it removed. No more pain after recovering from surgery. Maybe I'm a special case that feels pain from a cyst.

If you don't like you're doctor's answer, seek a second third and fourth opinion.

I completely agree. Also, I had a surgery done a few years ago to have a hernia repaired that had resulted from an earlier gall bladder removal. The surgeon also found and removed a nueroma.

Those are small growths on nerve endings post trauma (i.e. surgery). They can be removed, but they often come back. Four years out, I am having inexplicable pain again. Adhesions and/or neuromas. They can be fixed surgically, but it’s only temporary.

Other causes of lower right side pain include ovarian cysts, which are not always present by the time they’re being evaluated. Cyst rupture is extremely painful and may double you over, but the cyst is gone...
