I also have had the same problem for @ 36 years now every month or so I have to squeeze out puss to get lump to go down. This Sounds terrible but I bought a new pair of pliers and wrapped both ends with several thick bandaids to pad ends and I use the pliars to squeeze behind the lump. no real pain in doing it, I just keep checking it couple times a week when it starts leaking and smelling I know I need to squeeze it, the longer you let it go the bigger it gets. mine started out the size of small pea now about the size of first joint of little finger I really want it removed. I hate the smell of sweat and that's what it smells like x10 if anyone has had one removed I would like to know how it worked for you thanks T.

This is so wierd...I never thought it would be so common. Earlier it was always a small lump untill one day when I was trying to gently squeeze it to see if it pains or not and it bursted and I had some horrible smeeling liquid in my finger. In fact whenever it becomes even slightly bigger I try and gently squeeze and take out the liquid. I always thought that whatever happens it should not get accumulated inside and should be taken out at least after knowing how to take it out. Someone pls suggest which doctor can be consulted for that and if it is dangerous or not. I consulted a few docs before and they said human body has a lot of such small tumours which we are not aware of and these are not malignant. Till it's not hurting.. it's fine. But I would want to have a permanent solution for this.

It sounds like it is a cyst.

I have a load of these, mainly on my neck but have a couple on my torso. When squeezed they let out a pus from a pore and is a sweet sickly smell.
As it happens I have also had bi-lateral benign oncocytoma to the kidneys, previous to that I was diagnosed with a sarcoma to left shoulder. All tumours excised and asymptomatic.

I have something similar -- I think -- based on what I've read. Mine is dark red in color, very sore to touch, and is hot. It started oozing liquid that has a slight odor. The liquid is red in color. I'm thinking its blood. It doesn't really look or feel like puss I've seen in the past. I have a doctor's appointment set for next week. This lump came up quite fast and it's on the back of my neck under the hairline. I noticed it when brushing my hair one day. I'm ready for it to go away.

A friend of mine has a lump that has grown, changed color, and is filled with pus. What could this be?

I had plate fitted in my upper arm for life. But these last 4 years fluid appears on my elbow in a large lump. It's not painful, but to look at it looks bad. How can I drain it out?

I had a very small pea sized lump on the back of my neck. When I squeezed it nothing comes out but it smells horrible. My mother always swears by Iodine (you can actually get some that is uncolored) and I put it on for several days and it finally dried up. Also works on skin tags and warts
