I can't find either of the mango posts that I saw last night. But to the two people who posted THANK YOU!!
Apparently mangoes are from the same family as poison ivy and cause decently similar symptoms. I love mangoes but this lip problem has been HORRIBLE. I feel your pain. Actually multiple times in the last year. Tiny bumps, super swollen lips, then peeling lips, all while burning itching and tingling and sometimes spreading to the area around my mouth.
I know that this is probably not the solution for many of you. I think that you should think very hard about your food intake though. I would guess that the reason that there are so many people trying treatments and never healing is because at least an initial outbreak is an allergic reaction. While treating with anti fungal, antibiotic, and antiviral medication might shake up your system enough to change the reaction, you are probably restarting the process by re-exposing yourself to whatever is causing your reaction.
Also the breaking open vitamin e capsule and putting on to heal the painful breaks at either side of my mouth, genius. It really did work overnight.
But really, look up Mango Mouth.
