Quitting weed after such a long time is a huge stress. Dizziness, stiff neck ... I've had it all. Don't give up. Give yourself time to heal. It can take 3 months, 6 months or 1 year but eventually you'll recover. Brain needs time to re balance itself. You have been using weed for a very long time. Your brain needs to start producing it's own chemicals.
I am 8 months clean and still have some days of intense fatigue, brain fog, vision problems, dizziness ... But it is better than 6 months ago.
Eventually you'll recover. 5 weeks of abstinence after 14 years of smoking is nothing. Your brain was used to get an every day boost of pleasure. You have knocked down your brain's chemical balance. Give yourself time, exercise, eat a lot of protein, use Omega 3, don't drink alcohol for awhile and things will start getting better. Slowly but they will.

What you have is candida. All the symptoms you describe strongly suggest a fungal overgrowth/ imbalance in your system. And yes, if you have mold growth in your home, this can also contribute to and worsen your condition. I would highly suggest a low sugar, low carb diet, probiotics, candida cleanse. Be aware that the die off can make you feel absolutely miserable flu-like, but if you can get past that, you should see positive results. Do your research for candida and make your own judgements. Commercial doctors don't have a clue about this!

Mold and pesticide use at your new place can trigger your sensitivities. Do they spray the interior? If so, ask landlords to stop spraying and find natural alternatives for pest control. Are you having tremor? Feeling like your central nervous system is being "attacked?" you may be developing new sensitivities due to new toxic exposures. I experienced same at my workplace. Never smoked. But developed MCS after exposure combined with trauma. Might want to find a new healthier place soon.

all of your symptoms are definitely candida you should start a candida diet immediatly, get on a detox program and then do all the probiotics/antifungals gradually from there.. good luck!!

Should should eat the weed. Not smoke it. Make cannibus butter and take it in that way.

Hey. I have been a smoker for ~5-6 years. recently realized symptoms I had been experiencing were not just because I was smoking too much but also because I have systemic candida. Candida feeds on sugar. Cannabis flowers are very sugary. We can all attest to the sweet taste of the smoke, the caramel color it turns glass pieces. When you smoke weed you are inhaling sugar. I think this is why these two are so closely linked.
In addition there have been studies that show that THC (among other things found in weed) weakens immunity function especially in the lungs when smoked. So not only are you feeding the infection you make yourself weaker to defend against it.
I am just as surprised as you to find there is little information on this relationship. Get back to me. I feel like there is very important work to be done in this area

I have tried to get rid of Candida with herbs and diet for years, no luck yet! It is not that easy!!! I had chemo therapy b/c of cancer, and the chemo totally destroyed my immune system, and probably led to Candida, which I did not understand back then.
I just started using some candida cleaner, so I don't know yet if it helps, but the doc says her patients recovered from Candida so I believe.

Hey, many of those symptoms sound Like Lyme Disease to me, it is increasingly common, and exists over all of North America. Also, marijuana has powerful anti bacterial anti fungal qualities, with my Lyme disease (I have heard of similar cases with candida overgrowth), I can have moderate to intense Herxheimer reactions (exaggeration of symptoms from die off of the bacteria) but for others it is milder. Amy of this ring a bell? Maybe Go to the doctor and get tested for Lyme (IGenex western blot test, not the ELISA, that is the standard test that sucks. ) and candida levels. Peace.

There is a connection between abstaining from Cannabis and fungus. Cannabis has an antifungal property.

Also could be cannabis use makes you susceptible to fungus. So when you quit its what you have to deal with. It also lowers your immune systems ability to naturally fight candida

Thanks for everything you’ve said, you really helped me. I’m going through the exact same thing. We can do it.
