I took monistat-1 a couple nights ago and i was lucky to only experience mild irritation. I fell right asleep. I wore a pantyliner to be safe because I didn't want any leakage. I was fine. The next day I went to urinate and it all came out, or so i thought. It's almost the third night and had a bunch of white discharge come out this morning. I was mortified that the infection worsened, but all my symptoms are gone and hope to recover fully soon. Also, if your dr tries to give you diflucan, I don't reccommend. it didn't kill all of my infection and monistat worked much better (it's like 10x more $$$) but it's worth it!

I used monistat 1 on tuesday night and now it is friday morning. i really had no signs of a yeast infection before i used it except i had discharge. the discharge was not clumpy or anything but since ive used it i have had clumpy white discharge. Its pretty gross but i hope that means it is working. if it burns when you pee its probably a UTI not a yeast infection. but m still waiting for this white stuff to go away. it is everywhereeee! i'm freakin outtt about it. if it doesnt go away soon i dont know what im gonna do!

Honestly I think monistat 1 should be taken off the market. This has been the worst experience of my life and never in a million years would I recommend. This product to ANYone. It gave me 100 times more itching and burning then the actual yeast infection. I was up ALL night crying because it was so intense.

I have used this product a few times and I too have the white cottage cheese like substance too... the only thing that my roommate and I both agree with is that the cream to use on the outside causes a burning sensation like NO OTHER.. I DO NOT and don't recomend to use the cream it's horrible almost to the point where I was going to go to the ER but I simply jumped in the shower and cleaned off and was fine.. and my yeast infection cleared in like 3 days or so.  Great product! Just dont have sex too soon because the cottage cheese will not only be all over you but all over him as well, and this happened to me after 5 days.

okay well i tok monistat 1 just last night and have been having white discharge witch iknow shud b normal beside the point whn i started having a pain while i would pee it came to mind i probably had a yeast infection ive had it before so tis would b my 2nd time i see everybody on here sys theyhave itching burning, redness i dnt have nun of that its only when i pee that i get a ugly pain while finishing would it still considereda yeas infection?  

This would more likely be a Urinary Tract infection. And you will need to go to the doctor for antibiotics, or else it can get into your kidneys and cause major problems. I had one so bad I was screaming from the pain.

Anyways I am so happy I found this message board. I was freaking out because I used Monistat 1 yesterday, and I had to call out of work cause of the pain, it was so intence and awful. It didnt just stick to my vagina either, I felt like I had diaper rash! It was awful!

But I didnt put any of the cream on today, and I feel fine but I swear its like a fire extingisher was set off down there! I go to the bathroom and its just everywhere on me. It made me so scared, I was about to go to the doctor. But now that I know this is normal I am so happy, I just hope it goes away soon, cause I don't want to have to deal with this much longer, the days seem to just go on so long because of it. Next time I get a yeast infection I am going straight to the doctor, and I am also going to make sure that EVERYONE knows not to use this stuff. Its awful!

Okay so I am happy to find this site b/c I was freaking out a little. I have had yeast infections in the past but my doctor just wrote me a rx for the pill, she told me the next time I have a yeast infection its okay to buy over the counter treatment instead of coming in to the office. This is the first time i have taken Monistat 1. So I inserted the egg looking suppository on Friday today is Monday and I am still having leakage from the suppository dissolving. How long will this last?

Okay so I took the Monistat earlier this afternoon at about 2:30. I went to the bathroom and a TON of white stuff was "down there".  A few minutes a go I was covered with the cottage cheese type discharge, but now it feels like I'm leaking some kind of liquid instead of discharge is that normal? I'm also reading that the cream will make you burn?! I haven't had a burning sensation yet, but does that mean that I will later on? Thanks  so much!

After reading this I have to let everyone know what happened to me... I had never been diagnosed with a yeast infection before but had some itchiness and irritation with no discharge one day and thought I had a yeast infection so went to the store and decided to pick up the Monistat 1-Day... I used it and the next day I felt a little better and the day after that fine... then 5 full days after I used it and I was feeling fine I went to the bathroom and this curdled discharge was literally pouring out of me... it lasted for a full day and I was freaking out thinking I had some crazy infection and made an emergency appointment with the gyno next day... turns out it was from the Monistat... she said there was absolutely nothing wrong with me and it was the medicine coming out and that the 1-day is strong and my body was most likely reacting to it badly but just to wait for it to come out on it's own... don't douche or anything like that... It's now been a full ten days since I put the ovule in and it doesn't drip out anymore but there is still a ton of white mess inside my vagina... very frustrating because I would like to have sex, but this white stuff is just too gross!!!!   Hope this helps...

Ok well in my experience I had not a burning sensation but it felt like my hair was just growing back so I didnt pay it any attention then I looked with a mirror and it was sooooo red so I then got the monistat it gives you wipes and a lotion 1 applicator so I used as followed and the discharge that I see 2days later which is today HOLY COW I feel like something is wrong however the comments I see sound like my story so I will be waiting to see what happens. The feeling doesnt last all day and I dont have any burning when I pee everything is normal so I will just wait it out. I used monistat before years ago I just cant remember this happening which made me come on here..

This is my first yeast infection so I'm new to this  :$
I didn't have any discharge for awhile just was really itchy so I figured that it would pass but yesterday I finally had the discharge. I went to a store and got Monistat 3, the one with the pill?, and this morning I had bigger discharge... is that normal? Also when I inserted it and was laying down there wasn't a burning feeling or supreme itchiness like how other reviews said but this morning there is a slight burning feeling.

thanks everyone! i took monistat 1 this afternoon and it feels like someone is lighting a match up my vagina. i wish i knew how strong that stuff is, i would have taken the 7 day one. UGH!  im just gonna suffer for 3 days. hopefully this c**p will end by then! :(

WHAT IN THE WORLD

OMG, thanks so much for this blog. I really appreciate your stories.  I read each and every one of them.  And they all helped me!!!  My infection started off with discomfort, itching, irritation and buring during sex.  I googled searched and hoped that it was a yeast infection.  And based on the symptoms, it could possibly be yeast.  Picked up the Monistat 1.  Went home, took a shower, had the most difficult time inserting that darn egg looking thing.  It took like 10 times for it to stay up there, where I couldn't see it.  During the process, I irritated the walls of my vagina. It was AWFUL. I saw pink and man, I WAS ON FIRE!!!  I hopped  a tub of cool water.  Thinking to myself, GOD, please don't let me have contracted a VD.  So, my pap was about 5 days later.  I used a mirror and looked up there everyday and saw all of this white cream.. eeeeww.. So, what is that?? The MONISTAT???  Figured, yes, it's just dissolving and working on my infection.  So, I would keep wiping and making sure that I took bath's just to make sure that I'm cleansing myself  thoroughly.  Finally go to the gyn, she tested me for EVERYTHING per my request and it came back, yeast infection. YAY!  I've never had a yeast infection that made me feel so bad, though.. I totally understand what the one lady said about diaper rash.. I felt that tooo.. HUUUUHHH, when will this end?? I thought.  I've been very good an have not had sex in days.  The Dr. prescribed Diflucan, so I took that oral medication too.  This moring rolls around, almost 10 days since I took the Monistat 1 and I have this clump of cottage cheese looking stuff drop out of ME.. FREAKIN out all over again.  Which brings me to the blog today.  THANKS so much for sharing your stories.  I will never use that stuff again.  Going back to the old faithful 7 day cream, i guess??? 

Being a woman is overated! LOL
