Hi. My cousin has been experiencing some lung problems. At first, doctors thought she had pneumonia, but it seems this is not her case. They are talking something about vasculitis granulomatosis. Can anyone tell me something more about this? I would appreciate all your replies. I hope it won’t bother you much.

Hi to you too. Vasculitis granulomatosis is also known as Wegener’s granulomatosis. It appears in middle aged people. It has a slightly higher prevalence in men. Since it affects blood vessels, it can affect any part of the body. We are talking about small and middle sized blood vessels. In your cousin’s case, lungs are affected. If it is possible, diagnosis should be confirmed by biopsy. Your cousin should discuss this with his doctor. I hope she will be all right.
